I have tried Kotlin-native and that made me happy. Wow, I said, I can write programs that I used to write in C or C++ not switching language. One language to rule code them all

I think this was teased in the closing panel at kotlinconf but has anyone compiled a collection of white papers which can help inform management on pros/cons of adpoting kotlin into existing projects?

Just want to show a hand of appreciation for the s*tdlib* ❤️ 👏 So comprehensive and well thought out, it has spoiled me. I'm doing some back-end work in C# .NET; processing a lot of collections. C# is a decent language and yet, even with the help of LINQ, the API's feel full of obvious glaring holes compared to K - one cannot even add two collections together in the form of an expression!

    Great

    interview▾

with Lex Fridman and Guido Van Rossum (creator of python), where Lex said it was hard to part with his "loved one" C++ for Python, and learning a new language is a commitment, and how a person has to find the language they "enjoy their life with more"; Kotlin is my love language, and I plan to love it for many years to come 💪 They make it so easy to have no reason to leave, and that is why it will be around forever! Kotlin-native, Jetpack Compose, Java, JavaScript, feature-full, beautiful syntax, strong typing, great active community (and slack pro), they are very open to anyone's feedback... What is there not to love?!

Here's a poem about Kotlin by ChatGPT 🤓:
Oh, Kotlin, the coding language divine,
A programming gem that continues to shine.
With concise syntax, and powerful features,
You've won over developers, becoming their pleasers.

From Android apps to backend servers,
    Kotlin's versatility, it surely delivers.
With seamless interoperability and Java-like syntax,
Writing clean, modern code becomes a cinch.

Nullable types, extension functions, and more,
    Kotlin's innovations, they never bore.
    Pattern matching, coroutines, and DSLs,
    Empowering developers with coding spells.

Built on the JVM, and fully supported by Google,
    Kotlin's popularity continues to double.
With JetBrains at the helm, a team of skilled minds,
Creating a language that's truly one of a kind.

    Efficient, expressive, and statically typed,
    Kotlin makes coding a joyride.
With concise and expressive syntax to boast,
Productivity soars, as bugs are almost toast.

But it's not just the code, it's the community too,
With KotlinConf and meetups, a vibrant crew.
    Supportive forums and libraries galore,
A thriving ecosystem that developers adore.

So here's to Kotlin, the language so cool,
With its modern features, and coding rule.
A programming gem that's here to stay,
    Empowering developers in every way.

    here’s another one:
In a land where code springs forth, serene,
    Kotlin emerged, elegant and clean,
A language of brevity and grace,
    Reviving the art, programmers embrace.

From the depths of Java, it took its cue,
Yet with fresh ideas, Kotlin flew,
Null safety in hand, a trusted guide,
    No more NullPointerExceptions to hide.

    With extension functions, so refined,
New behaviors to old types assigned,
And data classes that save the day,
    Boilerplate swiftly fades away.

    Sequences and coroutines align,
    Asynchronous tasks now intertwine,
    Concurrent programming, smooth and sleek,
    Kotlin's power, developers seek.

For Android and beyond, it shines so bright,
A beacon of hope in a coder's night,
In Kotlin we trust, our code will thrive,
A modern language, keeping dreams alive.
