Hi all! I wasn’t able to make it to day 1 of FOSDEM, but I just got in and am excited for the Kotlin dev room tomorrow. Anyone interested in grabbing a drink tonight or anything?

Hi everyone, soon I’ll be graduating from school (AP hogeschool) and will be looking for a job but while I was looking for Kotlin there we’re not many companies that accept juniors. I was hoping that there were some communities here in Belgium I could learn from? currently I’m working on a kmm app that I want to be a desktop/mobile/(web) app using the D-kmp architecture. This isn’t an easy task for me because I haven’t learned android development, but I have learned a little react native (currently also on internship on webapp (postgres, node, express, react)). If you know some fun communities, sources or people to learn from please let me know.

Hey all 👋 I’m one of the (potential) organizer of the Kotlin devroom @ #fosdem 2022. I’m looking into understanding if it’s feasible to organize a meetup/mini-conference in Brussels February 5/6 2022. The ideal location would have capacity for ~50 people, a projector and a decent internet connection. We’re looking into having the live streaming of the Kotlin DevRoom from there. Is there someone in this channel that is able to connect me with anyone in Brussels (like a coworking space or a Uni)?

Hey hey I am currently looking for some interesting in person meetups. The last one I went was a BREWT meetup in Ghent. Are there any other recommendations? (Preferably in Flanders, don’t mind speaking English but long trip and French will be difficult)

Hey @maarten ha 👋 I don't know of anything Kotlin related going on 😞 I was part of the original Kotlin meet-up that was organised by @guyheylens, but that was handed over to @jean-paul but I don't think anything was ever organised. I've been wanting to go to the JVM Meetup for quite some time, but Ghent is really far for me and I often don't feel like driving to Brussels 😕
