We've decided to postpone... [improving] usability of multi-threaded coroutines library for Kotlin/Native

Why was this postponed? Looking at the results of the multiplatform survey, the top mentioned pain point of multiplatform is the strict memory model of Kotlin/Native and the inability to write concurrent code like in Kotlin/JVM, so it seems odd to me that this would be pushed back.

This time we published the roadmap in two formats: table-view in docs and board in YouTrack: 1️⃣ Table 2️⃣ Board Which representation is more convenient for you to explore and use?

Is there any ETA for the stabilization of the Opt-in mechanism? I had hoped for 1.5 but apprently this is not the case. It always feels strange to opt-in for the

Why was C++ interop support removed from the roadmap? There's no linked YouTrack ticket, and though I wasn't anxiously awaiting the feature, I'm curious as to why it was abandoned.

Related to https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/KT-49536, any plans to add kotlinx.serialization in Playground?

I have a similar request to @ephemient: It would be useful to have kotlinx-coroutines-test on the playground. It is important part of coroutines, and adding that would help writers present how to test coroutines on articles (for example https://kt.academy/article/cc-testing). I would also like to make a free course "Testing coroutines", and sending links to playground would be a better experience than forcing to setup a project.

Are there any plans to support generic values for inline classes? At the moment,

@JvmInline value class Foo<T>(foo: T)

is valid but

@JvmInline value class Foo<T>(foo: Bar<T>)

is not.

I am curious if Deprecated functions in kotlin standard library are going to stay deprecated forever or if they will be removed eventually. I am think about this one: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/KT-43306/Deprecate-createTempFile-and-createTempDir-functions-in-kotlin.io in particular.
