I fail to see how this is a "link to an interesting thing about Kotlin", i.e. relevant to the topic of #C0BJ0GTE2.

Indeed. Unacceptable behavior. At this point we need @Alina Dolgikh [JB]‘s help.

hi, I would like to confirm that a very old version of Kotlin is not affected by an old published CVE, is there anyone here with access to hidden youtrack issues that could spare a few minutes to look it up?

Is it worth adding github username/profile links into the slack member profiles? I'm not sure many people are using "Skype" either...

Should we rename #C19FD9681 to #kotlin-gradle-plugin (see this thread)? #C19FD9681 has a big disclaimer to redirect general Gradle questions to the Gradle community slack. This leaves #C19FD9681 for Kotlin-specific questions. Feels like Kotlin DSL questions could also be asked in the Gradle community slack (there is a
    #kotlin-dsl
channel there). The rest of the questions are mostly KGP related. Or is there anything else that wouldn't match
    #kotlin-gradle-plugin
    ?

👋 Could we get a general
    dependency-injection
channel made? There's been some interest in sharing ideas across different frameworks (including internal/non-OSS ones) that folks at a conf last week were looking for a place to share

hey all! there are a ton of ppl who use firebender here, and was wondering if we could get a shared slack channel so we can offer quick adhoc technical support? maybe similar to #C06QXPC7064 but #firebender instead?

Suggestion: We should change the topic in #C0B8MA7FA; advanced users tend to not use it for general questions (latest example: https://kotlinlang.slack.com/archives/CQ3GFJTU1/p1755078600797079?thread_ts=1755078498.626539&cid=CQ3GFJTU1 )

Heya, would it be possible to reconsider #C0B8M7BUY channel meta? Seems like 80-90% are always Android related and not Kotlin and they lead up to be reacted with not kotlin but kotlin colored emoji.

I feel that goes too far for #C0BJ0GTE2. The cheat sheet is behind a signup, where you must agree in email communication.

I see huge amount of channels here. Most of them are inactive (no messages for more then year) and some of them with strange names (#C7CJK9HQD for example). It is not critical, but why not to clean up such?

Interesting. Was there a time where people could freely create channels without admins? #ass doesn’t even have a channel description, so you would know what it stands for.

I would go by who created the channel (JB or not) and meaningful channel description. Maybe no activity for three years. There are sometimes channels for yearly events and you don’t want to drop #C4J6927RR 😉

I'm wondering if having a channel for requesting code review in open-source projects would make sense to you. For example, I lead a few OSS projects, and ideally I wouldn't commit and release without a second pair of eyes. I know what some of you may say: use AI. I actually do, but it's not a replacement for a good, human code review 😄 I think this channel can help increase quality of many products, and indirectly help find contributors!
