Hi, myself and a buddy are flying over from the UK on Tuesday, and leaving Saturday, we're traveling on a budget hoping to stay somewhere close to the venue, and ideally close to nice restaurants/bars. Any recommendations/suggestions great-fully received?

Absolutely amazing! If it wasn’t for Lambda World I would still recommend it. Best fish & seafood I ever ate was there.

yeah we had a quick look at those, I think they may be outside our travel budget. For reference we get a set amount of budget, and we're both heading to kotlinconf as well so we're stretching it a little bit 🙂

Hi @Maureen - thanks! Quick Q: is there any information about the workshops on Wednesday regarding cost and topics?

We will be releasing that information either today or tomorrow, but I can tell you now - one work shop will be titled Yin and Yang of Haskell - and the other will be Making the Most of Functional Programming with Scala - each will be a full day and includes food/coffee, etc.

Costs are around 495 euros but I need to check the final price post tax

The Haskell workshop will be taught by Alejandro Serrano and the Scala is by Habla Computing

does anyone have a suggestion for a place to work remote from Cadiz a couple of Days?

Hi @dr.dreigh - the topics are still being compiled and are chosen right before the unconference - I will send the link for submitting topics this week. The funretro is a weird error - shouldn’t be linking there, we’ll get that fixed.

Hi, I am planning to go to Cadiz by car, but I have read it is difficult to park there. Do you have any recommendations to park in the city? Thanks

Hi Miguel, street parking can be a gamble - it’s a game of luck, but there are lots of public garages and/or lots… I’ll confer with the team there to see if we can come up with the closet areas that offer the cheapest parking and get back to you

I do know the train station directly across from the venue also offers parking but I’ll have to double check rates
