I was thinking based on the feedback that it might be a good idea to have a hackathon session for August and continue talks & presentations in the fall then again

I’m not in Ireland first weeks of August, If you don’t mind, can we do the next session after 20th August so I won’t miss it?

I will be travelling as well the first two weeks of August, I was thinking mid-month but that might change

I'm hunting for a better location than Digital Hub since this is a bit away from the city so if you have any suggestions....

Hey @Tristan Hamilton! I was taking a look at the kotin result repo, to check out the benchmarks and test out the exception throwing performance. I opened a PR for a small issue to move the benchmarking code into a separate module, was cool to check out the kmp library structure and make a small contribution!

I also tested out the question i had about how bad the performance if for throwing and catching an exception, so I tested with the JMH setup and interestingly: • a

runCatching

block that doesn't throw was doing well over 200k ops/ms • a

runCatching

block that did throw and catch an exception was doing 993 ops/ms So quite the performance hit from throwing exceptions!
