Your role You are at the centre of innovation to execute new ideas for the betterment of the country. We are bridging startup mindset with the extensive scale of government agencies. You work alongside startup heroes with many years of experience in scaling up startups. Your responsibilities Following Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezo's "two-pizza team" rule, we like to keep the team small. WhatsApp only needs 32 engineers to run 900 million users, with 4 engineers we definitely can handle more than 100 million users, that's three times Malaysia population. In a small team, you are expected to start off as a generalist. You build a strong skill set on few areas as you progress within the company. We believe in hiring people with potential. We expect you to grow exponentially with us. Minimum qualifications Our CTO is a university dropout. We do not seek qualifications from your degree. However, we do understand how hard it is to get a diploma, degree, or PhD, and we respect your hard work. A degree shows you can handle the stress and time pressure. What we want from you 1. Understand how to work with source version control. Preferably Git. 2. Have worked on personal side projects, freelance works, or contributed to open source projects. 3. Willingness to try and pick-up new technologies. You can be someone with 5 years experience, just graduated, or still studying. It doesn't matter to us. As long as you can give your full commitment to growth, we can do phenomenal things together. Preferred qualifications If you don't have these it is fine; the opportunity is there. What meaningful is for you to take it as a challenge and step up your skill to this level. 1. Strong communication skill. You should be able to articulate complex concepts in a simple way to ordinary people. 2. Experienced in working with a team. You can't do everything alone; you need a team to support you and push you to be better. 3. You have a full understanding of all moving pieces of web and app architecture; from data stores to infrastructure. Tools we are using Our technologies are not limited to these tools. These are just for you have some understanding on the work that we do. - Ruby, Elixir, Go, Java for backend applications. - Vue.js for front-end. - Flutter for Mobile - Python for Big Data works. - Amazon Web Services as our infra, some applications are serverless. - Docker Is this something that excites you?
