    Hello Everyone, Consider a company does not include allowances in the name of tax allowance categories (like food, fuel & commute, gift, telecom, books and periodicals, etc) in their salary structure (or payslip). At the end of the financial year, can the company accept a report from their employee of all their transactions across these allowance categories with the relevant receipts, and give the employee the tax benefit? We are building something exciting in the pre-tax benefits space would be super helpful if we can understand your views.

    Our company is planning to offer incentives like learning incentive and health incentive ( We are limiting each to Rs.20,000) which would allow employees to claim reimbursements. Example of what can they buy For Learning - Kindle reader, Fiction novels, subscription to magazine For Health - Gym membership, Gym equipment, protein powder, smart watches. Our finance team is of the view that this would be taxable in the hands of employee as perquisite since expenses of employees is being paid by the employer. Is there way to provide these incentives without them becoming Taxable. @Sumit Singla Could you please share your thoughts, saw your comment on a similar post earlier related to relocation allowance. Thank you 😄

    Hello Everyone, It is observed that employees who work in a hybrid or work-from-home (WFH) setup tend to avail fewer paid leaves due to the flexibility provided. As a result, there has been an increase in leave encashment at the end of the financial year, leading to a financial burden on the organization. Can anyone suggest alternative or ways to tackle this?
