I would definitely love to know about the HR budgeting & manpower planning. I have joined a startup with a headcount of around 90 folks and looking forward to revamping & streamlining the HR processes.

@Omkar Pradhan My questions are leadership-hiring focused: 1. Shortage of talent pool, both internally and externally, is a challenge in leadership hiring. What would be a well-planned succession that benefits companies in terms of cost, time and change management? 2. Since leadership hiring is a strategic decision, organisations invest much time in interviewing the candidature, understanding the candidatesโ€™ personal goals and expectations, and background & referral checks. How can recruiters keep the candidates engaged till the management comes up with a firm decision? 3. What are some ways that recruiters can try to identify passive candidates and give them convincing reasons for processing their candidatures? 4. Cultural fitment is the most analysed factor in leadership selection processes. How important is cultural training for a newly-hired leader? Super curious to know your tips and tricks ๐Ÿ˜„

@Omkar Pradhan My questions are on Employer Branding How did you increased the LinkedIn followers for Aakash to 20K. What can early stage startups do to increase the followers with Zero budget. My 2nd question is - what can be done to attract the GenZ Tech talents? so that it becomes more of a pull effect rather push effect?

@Omkar Pradhan Good afternoon! I have a couple of questions: 1) Till what stage do you think founders should be involved in hiring of the team and when can it be delegated? 2) Exit interviews are usually just taken as a formality by organisations, what do you think we can do better during offboarding of an employee? (Can be voluntary or involuntary leave) 3) What are some perks and benefits that can increase retention of employees? (Letโ€™s say 3+ years) 4) Are resumes still relevant in hiring processes? What do you think about resumes vs proof of work?

@Sameer Wahie: I feel this is very very specific to the function you're hiring for! Like we have curated different assessments for different functions like sales, Tech, Design & TA and then we have psychometric tests for the cultural/behavioural assessment.

Hey everyone (<!channel>), Iโ€™m excited that Aashish Punjabi (@Aashish), Chief of Staff at Juno (a crypto startup) will be joining us on Thursday (27th Oct) for the next AMA session. There are two ways to get your questions answered by Aashish: 1. Join us live during the session from 8 AM to 8 PM on Oct 27th, Thursday, and ask your questions 2. Leave your questions here in the #expert-ama channel already so that Aashish can answer them on Thursday Here are some topics you might like to ask Aashish questions about ๐Ÿ‘‡ โ‘  Career path to becoming a Chief of Staff ๐Ÿ“ˆ Aashish has been with Juno for almost 2 years now and has grown the scope of his role during that time. He started as Talent Acquisition Manager - India, then became the Talent Acquisition Manager- India & USA and is now the Chief of Staff. Maybe you have questions about his career path and how to scale yourself within a growing company? โ‘ก Web3 hiring ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Aashish has got the know-how in web3 hiring. From understanding the roles to the extent to which they require applicants to be familiar with cryptocurrency, Aashish has adopted a consultative approach to hiring at Juno. Perhaps youโ€™d like to understand the nuts and bolts of what that looks like? โ‘ข Learning and unlearning from the world and people around ๐Ÿ’ซ Aashish is a startup enthusiast with a history of working with Uber for a short stint before starting up his own venture. Developed a brand to a scale & then sold the venture with 1.2X profit within 15 months. He also worked as an early employee at Eureca.ai, a Singapore-based recruitment marketplace. Post that, he worked at Behtar in scaling up the hiring across all hierarchies & was the first member of their HR team. โ‘ฃ โ€ฆ And anything else! โ“ And of course, this is an โ€˜Ask Me Anythingโ€™ session, so any question that you might have for Aashish on HR & People Ops is a good question. You can ask him anything you like about his career, his previous experience, how he would approach a challenge youโ€™re facing, or anything else ๐Ÿ™‚ Looking forward to seeing your questions ๐Ÿ’ฅ @Aashish over to you. Thanks a lot for being here for the AMA ๐Ÿ™Œ

Hi Aashish, thanks for doing the AMA. I run a small web3 startup. While hiring engineers/employees, do you look for web3 knowledge ? If not do you have any resources that you provide to onboard them to web3? Also what are some of the ways that Juno has successfully hired employees (considering people think web3 is risky) ?

Hi @Aashish, From your experience what are some things a company should focus on as part of the onboarding & induction (not just the HR policies/culture apart from that what are things we can walk them through like our customers/products/partners/etc) to blend into the culture and scale up quickly?

Hi @Aashish, being an HR often limits the opportunities we can explore to widen our horizon, how can we navigate to move to a CoS role and if we're part of a large organisations, how can we work with our management to explore such opportunities within the organisation?

Hi @Aashish Thank you for doing this AMA. I saw your answer above on the demands of a Chief of Staff role. The work is quite demanding and you are working on multiple projects simultaneously. When this is normal, what are some productivity hacks or habits you follow to ensure you don't miss out on important information or follow ups and keep track of everything? Thanks in Advance.
