The session talked more about the philosophy and the panelists spoke about what could be the best practice which is easily availabile in any Google site. I am grateful that I found this community to grow and learn from. I am a new HR, and do not have a degree but have worked alongside HR in my previous experience as Admin and events for a few years. Now I am handling a resort property that does not have much budget and hence I am playing the role of HR-COO-GM. It is a privately owned property under Pvt Ltd company registration. So basically, I am looking to learn all the manuals, rules, practices, and much more from this community. I pretty much have a heavy schedule but I will try my best to give time to read and interact as much as I am able to. Currently working on retaining good staff and hiring new staff but having a budget crunch as even college student want to start with higher pay scale. Anyone here who could share some insights on how to avoid compression (term learned in today's session) + to attract qualified staff in minimum budget?

Hi Folks, we have disengaged with an employee on grounds of financial and other work related discrepancies. We gave a chance for the employee to put down resignation but owing to the person not doing so we had to send the letter of disengagement, following which there has been a mobilisation of people aligned to some political party. will someone be able to help me on how to deal such a situation.
