Hey <@U02E83Q2J7M>, dashboards and charts are very limited at the moment, and we’re not actively working on them yet. In short, dashboard customizations are just not there yet.

To give you some context, they were built as a side-project by a developer that is no longer at Stacker. There are some performance limitations with that implementation of charts that make it impossible to continue developing them as they are. This is the reason why they’re only available on request.

When we do get to improving charts again, it is most likely that we will need to rebuild them. I don’t have an exact ETA about when that could happen, but we do keep track of how many people request charts. We’ll certainly consider that data when planning the features we build next.

Is it possible to add a button to just one column of the “board view”?

If you have a field referencing a URL you can include a button on the Board view. Just add the URL field and chose the option to display it as a button. If you want to restrict which column it is appearing in, you could use a filter and/or a filter in combination with some conditional logic and formula fields to further restrict when URL button fields show up. Not sure where in your example you want buttons to show up?

We are aware of this and working on fixing the revoked certificates.

To give you more context, we believe this happened because of Let’s Encrypt revoking certificates: <https://blog.malwarebytes.com/privacy-2/2022/01/lets-encrypt-to-revoke-mis-issued-certificates/>

We automatically issued new certificates, but it looks like we got rate limited when we tried to do it for all the customers. We’re now restarting the process.

Just found this tread, thanks for the quick reply.

Update: We deleted the app &amp; reinstalled. Then set up permissions as usual. Everything works now.

Stacker peeps - I know you guys are beavering away in the background on the Charts feature, but is there anyway to select colour for the bar charts currently? They are unusable in their current setup as you can get 2 opposing colours representing the same grouping across charts - see screenshot.

Any insight on future updates to charts?

BUT I’m not sure this will solve your problem as I think what is happening here is that the colours are being applied as an array, ie the first piece of data gets rendered red and the second yellow.

can't change fields around in AT as there is only 1 formula field per chart.

Airtable formatting is not pulled across. just the raw value.

The way to do this atm is to create a formula field and apply your formatting through the datetimeformat function. the result isa string and comes across to stacker

so you’ll need to run DATETIME_DIFF() and then run the output into DATETIME_FORMAT() or whatever it is.

<@U02BB8HKA0Z> these are the 2 formulas I have currently, and these are resulting in an error. The DATETIME_DIFF() is working fine, it's the DATETIME_FORMAT() that is not working.

You cannot simply convert a number (duration) into a date, you need to add the duration to another date to get a “date” data, and then format it.

Hi Stacker community! Does anyone knows the JS variable that stacker uses to identify the user in the app? I’m using this one window.__STACKER_USER but it is not working. for more context, I’m trying to integrate <https://www.appcues.com/> to build onboarding workflows for the customers but the user identification script is failing.

I imagine they are using more complex state management than a global variable - eg redux. I’ll be surprised if you can integrate through stacker. I’d suggest going through airtable if possible

<@U02BB8HKA0Z> Yeah, the user state management is indeed more complex. The `window.__STACKER_USER`  mentioned above is something I’ve wrote myself, to have a simple way to access the user’s data that works the same with all Stacker versions.

My plan is to split roles into RoleA-lang1, RoleA-lang2, RoleB-lang1, RoleB-lang2

Role A and Role B have their own separate templates, but then also, I will split those templates into 2 languages and have the column labels (in list view) and field labels (in detail view) translated.

Yes, it does, you want to translate what I call “dynamic content”.
The way you want to do it should work out fine. It will just be harder and harder to maintain as you add more languages.

Yep, I was also waiting as long as possible to get to this point, to avoid changes on the existing templates.

So what I was thinking, whether it’s possible to build a drop-down language selector to jump between languages, but I feel like it’s something a bit more complicated.

Unless….. Does anybody know how quickly would the user entity update from Airtable to Stacker? Maybe I will find a way to change Airtable user record to change the language there, but then, I assume it wouldn’t be quick to propagate the change (and maybe even a log-out / login is required)

The first solution where you build views based on the role and display relevant fields based on the role makes sense.

<@U02RTQSAWAF> I have the same need, showing a different name for nav menu items, pages and tabs, with names for admins and others for end-users.

It’s also useful when creating pages/tabs for different personas, they can have the same name. We’ve differenciated them using emojis, so far. Not always the best workaround but it helps.

Would be great if they showed the page name the same way they do for field names.
