Well, if you expose it to the internet for sure… There are many ways to make this available only to authorized people, and there is no one-size-fit-all solution, so as you prefer add some basic auth, ldap, auth, cert auth, expose this to your internal network only, etc

IIRC the module has some terrible puppetboard::apache class that does a basic setup that nobody should never use, and which would better fit as an example rather than something provided with the module.

Nobody will stop you to roll out basic Auth, or use the puppet certificates for client authentication

is there a way of having alias-names for nodes, and these names would be displayied in hdm? Now all servers are named as srvxxx.domain.tld, but the regular user would need to view the node names as eg "customer XX"..
