#426 needs work, #396 has no tests and I don't know enough about postfix to review it, #322 has merge conflicts

I guess it is some rspec.setup before(:all) magic. But I just cannot find it. That would be the last open msync PR for augeas modules

I maintain many kickstarts at my company. If you'd like and have a need for them, I can make some generic ones for el8 - el10

but if it is time to kick them to the curb, that's fine, too!

for processes like archiving a module we really should replace the lazy consensus by a more formal process. EG 3 GH-approvals and a GH archiving policy requiring a PMC member

FWIW, if this is for a company that just wants to create a kickstart file and is treating that file as if it is a config file and wants puppet to make it, I'm skeptical of its value.

There are many many sites that have minimal kickstarts where people can just get up and running much more quickly.

and they become static files, but I'll happily look into bringing this up to date

@rusty_vox yeah the module gives you a puppet DSL to manage kickstarts. But kickstart has composition and templating and interpolation I would argue noone needs a puppetl DSL wrapper on top

@rusty_vox: puppet-prometheus requires all exporters to implement the new ensure => absent if you are looking for low hanging fruits
