but you can create nested hashes or prefix every fact with $company_

a coworker created th following and it seems to work 

its why i asked, i prfer the namespace but just not seen it before

I think that's just any character in the fact name

or do you get anything when running puppet facts show wmflib

None at the moment. We had a discussion on the mailinglist and decided to archive it (among others) because the modules didn't receive any recent patches, don't list current operating systems in metadata.json and all active vox pupuli members have no windows experience and we've no CI for it

The doc <https://www.puppet.com/docs/puppet/8/lang_namespaces.html|Namespaces and autoloading> says "Class and defined type names can be broken up into segments called namespaces", possibly indicating namespacing is restricted to those - although other code pieces, like functions, seem to support that too.
The doc <https://www.puppet.com/docs/puppet/8/custom_resources.html|Custom resources> always mention a fixed naming schema, both for types and providers, both for developing with the API or the low level method, without any mention of possibly namespacing.
So I would bet it's just not possible today.
