o/ FYI, I am adding fixes to some ModuleSync PRs. Since I add commits to them, I don't feel good to approve them, but you can consider the modulesync part approved by me and if the rest is good for you can merge it. That feel obvious without saying it for me, so better say it :-D

Should we just update the metadata gem to not generate the Puppet 6 stuff globally (I guess that this would still need to rerun all CI pipelines to update that, but would avoid us to have to deal with deprecated Puppet 6)?

I already removed puppet 6 from 99% of the metadata.json

so I dont think it dropping puppet 6 from puppet_metadata provides muc mh benefit to us

I had a few repos where the github api failed to create the pr, like for puppet/openssl, but in the majority of the modules its gone

And are we supposed to use something instead of install_module_from_forge_on from beaker-module_install_helper now? maybe something from beaker_puppet_helpers?
