I don't think it would actually be all that difficult. The recurse operations are generally mutually exclusive with everything else.

Just never wanted to fight with Puppet for the core changes 🤷

I've not actually tested it yet, but from the release notes, it looks like Artifactory 7.15.3 or later should work. I know for sure that proxying rubygems through artifactory 6.latest doesn't work correctly, (minimum ruby versions of dependencies are not respected)
