I spend a day combing the beaker code, and there’s no “zombie” code anywhere. If you’re doing this just because “something can happen”, and have to call it from other ruby code, then I’m just going to document that if the process is killed it may leave resources running (which is what just about every other cloud tool I’ve ever used that creates things says) and let the user do the cleanup logic.

ah thats what I was looking for

so I could read the password in as fact and use cache_data, but thats really ugly because everybody can query puppetdb for the fact

maybe I can update the password to something I can define

so I could just throw it into hiera-eyaml and do a lookup on the influxdb node + on servers thst write to influx

hi everyone! a new version of Puppetboard has bee pre-released as v4.1.0rc1. there is a nice UI improvement in the environment selector and a LOT of under the hood updates so it’s definitely worth checking out. please report any issues you may find at Github or in this thread.

Is there any chance to take over the puppetlabs/lvm? Latest release is from 2020 and 25 pull requests pending there.. and stdlib is still v7 in deps :(
