Hi all! thanks @rich-pizza-5620 and @quiet-orange-43581 for the invite! lovely to meet you all 😊 I currently spend my time split between the Ops team (with @rich-pizza-5620) at Scape Technologies and as a Project Manager overseeing a variety of circus based events across the Uk and Middle/Far East. I previously worked at Lidl UK as an Area Manager around the South coast. I'm currently looking at new opportunities from February 1st, if anyone hears of any up and coming Ops vacancies please shout. I hear you guys had a good go at the Christmas social so looking forward to meeting you all at the next one šŸ’ƒ

Hi all, just posted this to the group: We are trying to improve our payment processing as we are moving into larger accounts where credit card payment is not as comfortable as with the smaller software vendors we worked with until now. I was wondering if anyone had some insight into the best way to accept US payments into a UK bank account without tracking across 4 different transfer providers or extremly high fees (which we are currently paying with HSBC). We were thinking about using Revolut with the SWIFT system - but are unsure whether they support ACH payment standard. Any tips or comments welcome. Happy to cover coffees if it turns into a longer conversation somewhere!

The focus of my next month is all about building our ops team so very relevant topic and would love to attend to learn more!

Hey Team! I’ve had a few questions recently about progression frameworks. I’ve been working on this project for a few months now and we just launched progression.monzo.com. I’ve going to be working on a couple more blog posts about the process and how we got here, but thought the resource may be useful for some. You can find the launch blog here: https://monzo.com/blog/2019/01/07/progression/

Hi Ops queens and kings, the govt put out a small amount of vaguely applicable advice for e-commerces in the eventuality of a no-deal scenario which might be of interest to some of us, so here you go šŸ™‚ https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/770360/Guidance_on_the_eCommerce_Directive_in_the_event_of_no_deal.pdf

Hi all! Thanks @quiet-orange-43581 and @adventurous-action-89434 for the invite. Recently joined RoomLab as operations manager. Looking forward to getting involved with ops stories and sharing ideas. We are building an online platform for interior design where designers are matched with customers for a low flat fee. Interested in customer experience journeys and ideas on how we can ask for feedback earlier. Will meet you all soon I'm sure - Hope you all have a productive Monday!

Hi all, does anyone know a supplier like https://tollfreeforwarding.com who caters for outbound calls? So when dialling out to a customer for a consultation call you can change the caller ID to say "RoomLab" or our inbound number "020 3608 9938" rather than a mobile number. Thanks!

Hi all: duplicate of the email I just sent: we have a great opportunity for an operations manager role at Festicket: https://festicket.workable.com/j/5345C435DD Reports direct to the COO as I'll be leaving on a jet plane to the US office. Mainly owning KPIs and processes within the ops team, specifically account management and fulfilment, plus running our CRM system. Slack me if you have any questions!

Hey <!channel>! Thanks to @adventurous-action-89434 for my initiation into the group last week & let me make a quick intro. My name is Michal, I am the UK Ops Manager at GuestReady, a short-term rentals management startup. Have been in this role for about 2 years now, currently managing an ops team of ca. 20 people and looking after the all-round running of the local market, having so much daily fun. Does anyone on here use Workday? It seems like the next step up from tools like CharlieHR, HiBob, Bamboo, but I’ve heard mixed reviews. Would love to pick someone’s brain on it if they’ve used it simple smile

Hi <!channel> - has anyone used Guru for internal Wiki? We are looking at both Slab and Guru, leaning towards Slab but considering Guru as it seems to have good functionality for monitoring whether documents are up to date/the latest version. Would love to pick anyone's brains on Guru/Wiki in general

Hey <!channel> - Thanks for inviting me to Ops Stories! Quick background - I am International Ops lead at https://www.airtasker.co.uk , a task marketplace that allows people to simply put up a task, something like ā€œclean my houseā€ or ā€œhelp me with a presentationā€ and allows others to make an offer to fulfill it. The marketplace is reliant on a feedback loop of reviews to boost the best people to the top. The company is 6 years old but I joined in 2017 to launch the UK market and now I am moving on to new countries - I would love to talk to other international expanders about their experience! This is my profile here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tom-miller-90a770a0/ - I can probably add value to questions like, How to fund raise, how to set up legals like EMI, SEIS, or client contracts, How to use data and KPIs and a few other bits. Hope to be helpful. Best, Tom

Does anyone have a Customer Success department/person at their company (or planing to?)? I’ve just set one up at Techstars and have 2 new junior Customer Success Coordinators (and hiring more soon). I’d love to talk about strategy etc with someone/ ppl from a different company as it’s new for us/ me. Ideally keen to find a group of ppl to connect with (geek out with) on a regular basis re Customer Success!
