Hello šŸ‘‹ does anyone have any recommendations on office fit out companies or independent contractors who've built meeting rooms? We have just gone under offer on a new office and need a fairly quick turnaround, but the design studio we normally work with (whilst great) don't have their own contractors so the timeline doesn't work

For reference we need to be in by end of April (2 months from now) so would love to hear from anyone else who's done a tight turnaround fit out!

Hey Holly - we’ve just engaged a contractor to build a meeting room and 2 phone booths in our office. He starts the work Thursday evening and should be done by Monday. Once I can vouch for him I’ll share his details with you!

Hey guys, we are hiring someone at the moment and when getting to make a salary offer we are kind of struggling. This would be for a mid-level ops person (not just in charge of customer support) and glassdoor salaries are super spread because operations can mean different things. Do you have an idea on the level of salary for a junior person and a mid level one?

Hi everyone! I am working as head of Ops at Elder, a marketplace providing live-in care to elderly people (an alternative to care homes). We're currently seeing some disengagement from our community of carers and I am pulling an engagement strategy/playbook. Would be very keen to get some suggestions on what actions/best practices you've seen as beneficial over time as well as leading indicators (eg. connection to the app/portal, emails open rate,...). Happy to chat in person as well. Thanks!

Hey ladies and gents, in case you liked the first thoughts I shared around L&D, my colleague just shared ideas on how to take a new perspective on L&D and building PDPs šŸ™‚ For those involved/interested in that kind of beauty: https://learnerbly.com/how-were-approaching-learning-development-from-a-new-perspective/

Imho Asana (and podio) are great tools when you want to set up individual workspaces and custom project flows, that’s when they shine. If you don’t want to spend that time, they have some ready to go workspaces/apps that you can use, but you won’t get the full potential. If you’re looking for something that ā€œjust worksā€ I would not chose either.

Hi All, We are a marketplace that specialises in providing care to the elderly. In order to stay compliant we ask for an Enhanced DBS Check from all of our potential carers but there's a problem... Our current DBS provider requires that we see all the documents for the DBS check (e.g. passport/proof of address) in person. Normally we ask to see these during our induction sessions but we have a number of people who forget to bring the required documentation. As we only have a few offices spread across the UK, some of our candidates find it challenging to come back in to complete their face-to-face document check, especially those who live far away. We've been told we can also check the original documents if they are posted to us but feel this is going to be time consuming as well. For anyone familiar with the Enhanced DBS check, are you experiencing the same issues and what advice would you give to us? All suggestions are welcome!

Hi all, I hope you are all well! I was wondering who you were banking with? We have a Metro bank acc and are not super happy about it (I spend a lot of time disbursing money so it’s really a pain). Is there a bank you would recommend for a startup with a lot of money flows? If there is someone from or using Monzo, Starling or Revolut I would love a chat! Thanks in advance šŸ™‚
