    Looking for some advice/input 💡 We're starting a leadership monthly meeting to work on the business (rather than in it), covering strategy/targets/high leverage projects and making decisions and/or deciding a course of action. Does anyone have advice for running successful leadership team meetings? What are the key elements to unlock an effective meeting? Do you use slides? Notion for pre reads? Keen to hear!

    👀 <!here>: TL;DR: Operations Nation is publishing a book for COOs, written by COOs. Would you like to contribute to the book? 📖 Back in 2019, a few members of COOhort started working on a book for COOs, written by COOs, to fill a gap in the book market, which has basically 2 books for corporate COOs. Our goal is to create an e-book of valuable, insightful articles that help thousands of aspiring/existing COOs leading startups from 20 to 200 people to better understand their role and what skills they need to be successful in their roles, and to showcase and celebrate COOs beyond Silicon Valley who have survived their share of ops wars and are passionate about sharing lessons learned. 🥳 Approach: • ✍️ Based on learnings from the first time we attempted to put together this book (namely that COOs have lots of amazing experiences to share, but usually lack the 🕐 and skills to write these stories), we’ve decided that instead of being completely responsible for writing chapters end-to-end, COOs will be subject experts and curate the content and draft a chapter before handing off to a ghostwriter for finalising. • 💰Operations Nation will cover the cost of hiring the ghostwriter/editor through its own funds and by running a Kickstarter campaign whereby contributors to the campaign will receive a hard copy of the book. • 🤝 Operations Nation will seek partnerships with relevant media partners such as Sifted in order to increase both PR buzz as well as exposure for contributors to the book as thought leaders. 💡 Next Step: If you are interested in contributing as either a Subject Expert or Interviewee, please email charlene@operationsnation.com by July 31st, and we will follow up with more detailed information on the content structure and collaboration process.💡

    Hey! Is anyone good with V-Lookups? I want to use the SKU to pull the cost value of an item into the Sales order sheet- however its worked for like 50% of them, and I've checked theres no missing SKUs, for some reason even though the SKU exists in the data named range it says NA half the time?! I've changed the number type to the same and trimmed the white space, so really not sure whats going on here.

    Hello, Does anyone know of any companies that you can outsource HR/employee onboarding tasks too? Things like drafting and sending out employment contracts, informing payroll of new joiners/leavers, sending pension information etc? I'm due to go on Mat leave at the end of September and rather than hire my replacement we're looking to divvy up my role internally - but outsource the HR side since no one else has experience in this department.

    Thinking this question might fall under "revenue ops" ? How does your team/company handle duplicates in your CRM? It seems that every company, industry, size, etc has slightly different principles they follow. I'd be curious to know what's worked well for your team or if you could ask your sales/rev ops team if you have any processes in place that you follow 🙏🏼 Common examples that keep popping up for us: • Contact leaves company and joins another • Contact is still with company, but signs up for group/list via personal email Hope that makes sense as a question if anyone else has run into these sorts of obstacles before!
