hey guys - super quick one to kick this off. We're potentially looking to move banks as the customer service and responsiveness of RBS has been shocking. SVB has been recommended by a couple of people. Does anyone here happen to use it/could vouch for it/would mind a quick 5 minute chat? Thanks

@orange-area-56954 spreadsheets have worked best for us 🙂 we also used Trello boards. but if you shoot an email to ops-stories@googlegroups.com I’m sure there’ll be more responses - don’t think everyone checks Slack much!

<!here> Can anyone recommend any good pay-per-task outsourcing companies? Working with one in Vietnam and need a backup...

@able-computer-33023 Astrid might have told you we used Taskeater in the past, they’re not pay-per-task but you might be able to negotiate? Also check out Fiverr. I also want to encourage you to send your questions to the mailing list 🙂

I actually used Taskeater already, they were OK, but making sure they stayed productive was a pain so paypertask takes care of that automatically...

How does scaling work with the freelancing websites like upwork @orange-area-56954? I guess you have to train every new person yourself?

I have people writing them pretty detailed briefs to be honest - i guess it depends what you are getting them to do, most of my stuff is devops

We used side a lot. Probably around 20 people in total from there. Really not good, had several quality issues. We switched over to tempo (heytempo.com/) and although they are a bit more expensive, the quality of the staff saves a lot of vetting, training and quality issues down the line. I currently have about 20 of them on one of my teams and there are a number I wouldn't hesitate to make permanent. Happy to make introductions if anyone needs it!
