Hi all! I'm wondering if anyone has experience with building out COGS for physical products? Less in a financial reporting/accounting sense and more as an internal guide. Given that so many of our component costs vary (i.e. we may need to do a small, costly emergency order one month, and a large bulk order of the same component the next), it can be hard to know which costs should actually be taken into account sometimes (or whether we should be updating these as they change? Or perhaps using averages over a period?). Another area is where to draw the line on what logistics costs should be included. If anyone has any resources that they could share that would be incredibly helpful!

Hi everyone, I'm trying to make sense of the grey area around IR35. We are a small private company, and hire freelancers to carry out project work on a project-by-project basis. We'd like to hire a freelancer on a min. 6 month contract to work across an array of clients for a fixed fee, paid monthly, and I'm trying to ascertain if this falls within IR35, and if the tax liability falls on the company or the contractor. Hey all! 👋 I have a question for all those who have employees abroad (tax residents in other countries) - so far, for tax implications, we’ve been mainly doing b2b contracts/contract agreements and, therefore, not having them as fully-fledged employees. This, however, has certain implications: ⚕️ no health insurance or other social guarantees 📈 no ESOP 🌴 no paid sick leave, holidays etc 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 and they cannot be really seen as real employees We have explored Oyster, Remote etc but that seems to solve only a small part of the problems. Hearing how common remote hiring is, I’d love to hear how you get around legal/tax loops! 😊

Hey! QQ - how do people collect laptops from employees based remotely in the EU? Do you have a recommended provider?
