    and whilst we’re on this topic, another quick question. when you receive an email from user that says “please delete my account”, do you just close their account and leave it there, or do you follow up with them and ask if they’d like all their personal data removed too?

    (or do you treat “delete my account” as “delete my account and all associated data you hold on me”?)

    We usually treat it as delete all of their data, and we treat it as a two part process. Ask for feedback and assure that their request has been sent to the relevant team for deletion, then delete their account if there has been no response within 24hrs and send a follow up email as confirmation.

    If there is any info in their first email that provides a clue as to where we’ve fallen short then we’ll try and rectify any issues with their account first. This potentially leads to customer retention if we resolve the problem they’ve been having!

    @faint-umbrella-21214 I’ve got little experience here but my FD says: - people work (tax filings, p11d etc) is normally as separate engagement - the work going into mgmt account varies with complexity of transaction and business there is an FDs and CFOs group (similar to Ops Stories) if you have someone in your company who’d like to join…or would it be yourself?
