has anyone successfully renegotiated office lease recently (either from annual lock-in to month-to-month, or price reduction, or both)? I'd really love to chat if so.

Hi everyone! 👋 Is there anyone here that is using intercom and has worked alongside their data teams to extract intercom data into their own warehouse and data visualisation tools? I'm currently in the process of doing this alongside our data engineering team and intercom's data is...very confusing. So would love it if someone who's already gone through it would lend some advice!

Hey all - keen to understand what various people are doing post lockdown around working conditions - are people sticking with working from home or moving to 1/2 days in the office or more etc - I’m discussing this with my CEO atm so keen to understand what other startups are planning on this subject?

Hey all, wondering if someone has gone through or led an initiative to revamp the team organisation (planning, meetings, team org etc.) after the team has grown too much for old processes to still make sense and would be happy to chat? Context: I feel like the way we do things (very democratic and involving everyone in the company) is reaching its limits in terms of effectiveness and efficiency as we’ve gone from 10 to more than 20 people. Any help or feedback would be very welcome!

Hi wonderful Ops people, do we have any product ops / digital ops people here working on Jira next-gen? I’m doing some hands-on Product Management and I have some questions (and I’m stuck in a loop of not being able to find anything but Classic documentation… try not to cry )

Hi everyone - I hope you're all well. We're looking to launch (softly) into the US making one or two hires initially to get things going. Does anyone have any experience of moving into the US and specifically any recommendations on any lawyers who can advise on how to structure the company in the best way to do so? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 ➡️ 🇺🇸 !

Hi Everyone - Happy Monday! While I am putting together our performance management processes (including probation and development goals), I was wondering if anyone is using a template or a tool to track the goals/performance of their teams? I want something super simple as we are quite small team and would love to hear what others are doing 😄 Thank you 🙏🏻

hey everyone! 👋🏻 I'm looking for something that would ping all our employees individually (ideally via Slack) at the end of the week asking them: • to submit feedback for 3 people this week • submit a values nomination for someone this week (or something like that) are you doing something similar at your companies and if so, what process or tools do you use? 🙏🏻

Hello! Do any of you use Progression Framework for your team? I’m interested in the actual execution of it, i.e. what structure/process you have to ASSESS how people progress according to the PF? E.g. Google doc, rating for each of the competency, etc.? Any tips would be SUPER helpful! Thank you 🙏

Morning Everyone 👋 Nice to meet you here! I used to be part of Ops Stories (thanks to the amazing @quiet-orange-43581. I was ex-head of ops at Daye and ex-head of investment at Founders Factory. Dropped off the Ops Stories group last year when the pandemic broke out. I left Daye to set up a PPE supply chain direct from factories to  UK carehomes and to frontline workers, distributed 6m pieces of PPE over 6 months. 📦 Through 2020, I can’t be more grateful to meet so many carers, founders of carehomes who are in their 50s. Many turned from customers to business and life mentors where I learnt optimism, confidence and some secrets to happiness ✨. Inspired and motivated to serve, that’s where I realised how underserved (emotional, product quality and variation) this age group is, especially in personal care and health care and started Wise. I am closing a £1.7m pre seed round now, with supply chain all set up. Looking for Head of Ecommerce, Director of Marketing and Brand and also Director of Ops to build the first personal care company that looks after our young-at-hearts. 💃 JD in the jobs-board channel Lastly, if you aren’t Iooking to leave your current role, but want to share notes on supply chain set up (made a lot of mistakes from setting up 4 supply chains from pain relieving tampons, Wigs, PPE to now incontinence products), or have views and questions about what we do, and how we should serve our young-at-hearts. I love a chat! ☕ Looking forward to meeting everyone! 🤗

Hi everyone! Bit of a random one...we're currently doing some research into the root causes of delays in mortgage lending decisions, and I'm looking to pick the brains of anyone with experience in mortgage underwriting. If this is you/anyone you know, I'd love to arrange a call! We'll also swing you an Amazon voucher as a small thank you for your time 🙂

Hi All! Does anyone have a template for their return to office survey that they'd be happy to share? We sent one out previously when the first lockdown was easing (and we thought that was that!) but I think we need to send something more comprehensive this time to try and understand How people are feeling, Why they're feeling that way, What things will impact the way they feel and When they want to return to the office (if at all).

Hi everyone, We're recently seeing an increase in lost transaction due to 3ds. Seems that this is related to our "old" card authorizations that now cause amounts to get blocked - presumably because the amounts are too high. This happens mostly on Mastercard. We have recurring, monthly payments. Does anyone have any ideas on how to handle "responsible" (read practical and reliable) authorizations? Shall we just authorize $10,000.00 whenever a card is added by a customer? Is there a recommended amount? A formula to calculate a "responsible" amount? What amount do you choose to ensure you don't get stopped by this system? Any insights or experience reports would be greatly appreciated.

I’m not sure if there’s a better channel to post this in (please let me know if there is!), but I have a specific ask. A young and incredibly bright entrepreneur is hoping to connect for a brief chat with a leader/operator working on productivity tech/note-taking tools (e.g. Notion, Evernote, Medium). Does anyone have any leads? Or is anyone here relevant? 😄

<!here> Happy Friday, everyone! 🎉☀️   Late last year, we announced Mentor Stories - a mentorship scheme initiated by COO Stories and now co-run with Ops Stories, designed to nurture, support and inspire the next generation of COOs, as well as to increase future diversity in senior operations roles in tech.   The first cohort was deliberately small, so we could work closely with the participants to gain feedback and iterate on our offering. After a successful trial* we’re over the moon to officially launch our second Mentor Stories cohort!   The next round of intros will happen on the 1st of April so:   • If you are looking 👀 for a mentor, fill out this form by 25th March and we’ll do our best to match you with a mentor. If we’re unable to find a good match for the upcoming cohort, we will keep your application for the next one. Your commitment would be for 1 hour per month for 3 months. • If you would like to be a mentor, fill out this form by 25th March. Mentors are eligible once they have 2+ years of senior leadership experience in a fast-growth or VC backed tech business. If you’re already a senior leader, it’s ok to apply as both a mentor and a mentee! NB, we ask mentors to take on up to two mentees, where at least one would be from an underrepresented group in tech. Your commitment would be for up to 2 hours per month (1 hour per mentee) for 3 months. As a mentor, this is a really fantastic and tangible way you can impact tech for the better, helping others on their paths, and hopefully inspiring a wider range of people to carve out a career in ops and tech.   You’ll find more information and FAQs here but if you have any questions, just give us a shout over email or Slack :)   Thanks and have an awesome weekend, everyone! ☀️😎 The Mentor Stories Team  Kelsey, Charlene, Aušrinė * 100% of the beta cohort pairs were happy with their match and proceeded to complete the beta. On average, mentees scored their session a 9/10 on usefulness; mentors scored their sessions an 8/10 on rewarding-ness.

Hi all! Wasn't sure about the right channel for this! Am looking to speak to anyone working at a marketplace about how they measure churn and I'd also like to understand how churn rates may differ by marketplace/industry. We do not charge any monthly/annual fees at ClickMechanic so just get paid when a mechanic completes a job through us and therefore measure it based on them completing work. Anyone free for a quick chat?
