Just completed the encounter last night Cheers all for the advice about facings etc, the cur was exactly why I was asking as I thought he was about to be useless MVP was absolutely our witch companion who just didn't care about their defences between fireflies and incineration wave, she did 3 damage in the first round with fireflies and then finished off the last man standing berserker, toss from the warbear was great, got two great uses from it, also a very clutch 4 white throwing daggers from the cur, mind you, that did nearly got the poor cur deleted when they did death from above in reaction while the cur was pinned from a berserker attack, think the total was 23 damage 😳🤷‍♂️😆 We got lucky though with a stage 3 chain that went through the whole team, out of all the cards drawn, only 2 had numbers so after the first two hits there was no damage left to apply (pretty sure we got that right). Also with that chain, we all decided any defence cards to play before the attack was drawn, couldn't spot anything obvious saying that's not how to do it but thought I'd check, didn't matter in the end due to their terrible draw but would be good to know for future

are we supposed to lay out the whole map as we move through the deepwood. We did but we got to the point where on the map north was blocked but the app was saying it was cleared. Did we mess up?

Likely you messed up in some way. Do you have a picture of your configuration?

@Voltek Glad we were able to get that sorted out. Even with the error in the map configuration you all still got to final destination. With as much exploring as your group did, were you close to running out of rations?

We hit the rations thing 3 times, we started with 9 Rations and 8 refugees. (Which was gonna double check to see if we had too many we saved one token in Bastonne and 11 of the 12 civilians in scenario 3.) We killed off all but 2 on first cut then had enough to end with the 2

Feels like you should have had more rations? With saving 11 I think that would have given you 5 more refugees and 10 rations if I remember right?

We were very close to running out of rations, only hit it twice but tried to save everyone with first ration use, were down to one ration and maybe 5 refugees by the encounter

Oh I think I did it wrong then for sure....

So its 2 Refugees +1 for each set of 2 saved I saved 11 so 2+5 is 7, then add Rations 2 per token just gained so 14. Add to the Rations I had and I shorted myself Rations but I counted the Refugees right.

Heya, so, do you build the deepwood maze or are you supposed to just allways only show the exact 5 tiles? Also, how did you ffs read the booklet, we were lost and just nearly lost all refugee)(nearly) ... I am curious which waystone was that one lol...

It's absolute misery trying to use the journal and book

Some of the worst gaming I've ever done. Deepwood travel in this chapter was frustrating and made me not want to play it at all. Swapping to the app later on removed most of the frustration and made it a lot more enjoyable. So that's my recommendation. Even if you only use the app for this.

I use the app, journal when requested, and the Deepwood tiles. The app guides you nicely as @Bulvious mentioned, but my groups really enjoy seeing the Deepwood unfold on the table.

Bear in this situation with Chain Hook activated would they get pulled first by North Beserker one up since he can only go up 1 space or would he bounce off edge and end back by bear. Than does beserker 2 south beserker do the same only moving south?

Reaction cards are drawn when any HP die is broken (except the very last die on the encounter board). The difference here will be that the tribesman will be removed and the other tribesmen will active though without focusing the reaction target (as its only the damaged enemy that focuses that target and they are now dead).
