Yes, indeed. The management part is really the least of it if you have a reasonable management interface. The WDM (Wyse Device Manager) does actually a pretty good job and we've used it successfully for five years or so.

agree 100% as I dont I think alot of people change too much once they settle of a plan and settings for the endpoints, small changes, updates etc as new product or versions arrive.

biggest thing in management for me will always be the diversity of what i could manage versus the bulk mass

You can also put IgelOS to "old fashioned" PCs / devices...

We turned tons of old desktop PCs into IgelOS ThinClients and all managed by the amazing Mgmt console

and thats what I ended up doing is re-purposing and running igelos and udc's and not buying new hardware

That I don't know, but they seem to be very helpful at the moment and they are still sponsering CUGC events. They are working on a development task for us as well so that they can support Mirsk recording software so that the healthcare can use it for that. We also use Imprivata at these healthcare customers

igels management for me is the best around, and i think they could expand it to be more accommodating to accepts its competitors devices during roll outs and replacements etc... where you can manage it all under one roof and then it becomes the verb for euc or emm

open up apis and make it more data analytics friendly for better mining of improvements or even automation. The data collection they would have alongside vmware and citrix, workspot and others would be the ultimately data set for doing full deep learning of users and the way they work, routines, habits and apps, desktops, peripherals, the list goes on and then doing some really cool stuff with it

For me one of the exciting futures will be when deep learning and machine learning are able to provide personalized end user experiences of what a user wants to have rather than what IT has decided to give them, automated, adaptive change as users change device interactivity - touch- mouse-voice-thought, or something as simple as adaptive policies and settings that change based upon everything a user is doing at the time -apps, data-location-interaction-network-security-identity all working in real time to change my experience as i want to have it

put the same mentality of what car manufacturers are doing for cars to use ML and DL to understand roads, traffic, signals, pedestrians, day, night etc.. into IT learning about me as a person/user to adjust and learn as i work

@User -- Yes, in reagrd to ML, DL, AI, etc. Alexa/Siri/Cortana are already doing that some some degree. This is going to accelerate, fast. The instantly availability of coffee reminds me of some of a few of the pubs in Dublin, which because they are in proximity to the Guinness Brewery, actually have direct pipes flowing from the brewery to the pub!
