I think that all of us love labs, but most popular topic right now is mobile demo kits.

I'm about to build a training lab based upon 10x Intel Skull thst needs to go into a carry on Pelican 1535

There is an app for slack which links to Amazon and other tech shops really useful for doing a /shop "name of thing" and getting images and cost

@User: I built a house last year and have a dedicated "server room" for computer and AV equipment. Cooling and power was thought of way back then. I'm finally able to get to setting it up properly. 42u rack arrives via freight delivery this week. Focus is on getting existing gear into the rack initially. Upcoming is going to be a lot of hardware testing from the big boys if all works out.

I want to talk about 2 things. Simple, cost efficient labs + enterprise hardware and associated configuration. Thus the need for the rack. I'm still loving my SuperMicro superserver which is "production" for me. Another one coming soon when I can save up enough

I can recommend putting in a rack shelf and running a couple of Nuc jump consoles rather than virtualization all of them or trying to run them from a single Pc workstation

Long term you will multi Nic them and do other things as well

Awesome. I have my first Nuc (skull canyon) here but waiting on the 960 pro to show up. Want to do Atlantis and Nutanix community editions and this is my initial test. I bought 4 shelves for the rack to mount the non rail stuff so that would be perfect. My current switches are Cisco but planning on adding UniFi next month when I have more funds

Btw everyone also made a channel specific for portable labs as well to separate he conversations if we need to
