A biographical portrait of Abraham Lincoln and his three rivals (during his race to become republican Presidential nominee). Abraham Lincoln, a man with little experience of running a government is the least favourite candidate for the Republican nominee. By sheer luck and political strategy, he got himself nominated for the Presidential candidate. Soon after, he became the President of the United States. This book follows the problems that Abraham Lincoln faced during his term. The genius of this book is how Abraham Lincoln solved some of the greatest challenges the country ever faced, by remaining true to his core values, and by his innate political genius. In contrast, many other politicians (even today) would melt down their core values at the first sight of danger.

Recently completed reading book - Make Time - Its not your typical self help book which goes on forever to convince what the author is trying to convey. It’s more of a collection of different strategies that span across 4 broad topics - Highlight, Laser (Energise) and Reflect. For each of the bucket the authors give out a lot of options and the reader should pick and choose what suits best for them. I have been able to apply 2-3 different strategies from Highlight, Laser and Energise which are working quite well for me. Only thing I am still not been able to incorporate is a few strategies from Reflect section. Its a kind of book that would be good to have around and refer as we evolve. It also pushes for the readers to try before adopting while giving out options, which is something other self help books don’t. Overall a 3.5 / 5 kind of book. https://www.amazon.in/Make-Time-focus-matters-every-ebook/dp/B079SWFVPC

Reading the "Gig mindset" finally and learning how I can outsource/give away a lot of my professional work to others and also my personal errands , tasks that I don't enjoy doing TIDE model covered is beautiful, the amount of work a team of high quality VAs and freelancers can help you in is huge. Should be very useful for boring errands, side projects, new ideas and parts of client work that I don't want to do https://www.amazon.com/Gig-Mindset-Reclaim-Reinvent-Disruption-ebook/dp/B082QN2DJ6

After binge reading a ton of non-fiction books last year, this year my focus is to read mostly fiction. Currently I'm reading Circe by Madeline Miller. Please suggest some books around the themes of mystery/mythology/sci-fi.

Please share if you have recommendations for a beginner English reader ( non-fiction preferable). I thought 'Animal Farm' would be a good start, but when I flipped through it quickly I realized the vocabulary is somewhat advanced. Looking for something less intimidating and encouraging.

Hi 👋, did anyone order books from amazon.com in the recent times? I wanted to know the actual duty levied on the shipment. I tried getting information from here but wasn't much conclusive.
