Has anyone read "What happened to you?" by Oprah Winfrey? I have ordered that book and I will receive it tomorrow. I have heard that the book is really good for people who are looking to address mental trauma.

I pick up this book "Your code as a crime scene" by Adam Tornhill thinking that I will learn some techniques on how to debug the code better. But it turns out to be a completely different book, and I am glad that I read it. More hereπŸ‘‡ https://burhanrashid52.com/2022/04/17/your-code-as-crime-scene/

Currently Reading: Sophie's World by Jostein Gardener and Story of Philosophy by Will Durant I picked up Sophie's World and realized that the book Will Durant Book I have is of a similar theme. Its quite exciting to read on the same topic from two different authors and perspectives, in two different formats(SW is Fiction and SoP is Non-Fiction)

If It Could Happen To Buddha, Why Not You?
Great book which explains the difference between religion and spirituality. Focuses mostly on the self awareness and has excerpts from many books related to Meditation/Osho/Budha/Zen Currently Reading:
Top Five Regrets of the Dying
Apart from the regrets that author has shared, I liked her story also and how she has described learnings from each stages/different jobs of her life. It is a good read so far and a reminder to not always live/plan for the future and material success.

For the first three years of my career, I did not know what agile was. I first came to know about the β€œAgile” word when I was copy-pasting my resume headline from someone else's resume. I learned the meaning of tur Agile from the "Clean Agile" book. SummaryπŸ‘‡ https://burhanrashid52.com/2022/05/04/clean-agile/

The two common topics that are discussed in any group are Money and Health, even if you are not interested in them. The thing we need to learn is how money works, and Morgan Housel really did a good job with this. You can read the summary here. πŸ‘‡ https://burhanrashid52.com/2022/06/05/the-psychology-of-money/

Finished reading "Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals" and everything this book says boils down to "Live in the Present". We have heard this advice counts times and this point this is a quote I brush of as cliche and turn towards the countless other "Productivity Gurus" to learn about the latest hacks, tips, and tricks to maximize my output. All you get is one life, right? So what's wrong with trying to get everything in that life? Seems like I was wrong and this book opened me upto a new way of thinking. Plus the author is an ex-productivity nerd like me so we really connected πŸ˜‰ notes: https://jjmachan.in/notes/four-thousand-weeks/

Currently reading: War of Lanka I’m about 300 pages in and finding it very hard to continue reading it further. Generally, I sometimes put down non-fiction books if the narrative is not interesting enough but fiction books, I don’t remember ever stopping reading one in the middle, no matter how shitty it is. Once I start a story, I just have to know the ending. This book is full of cringe in every chapter. I clearly remember reading Immortals of Meluha for the first time and awed by the tortoise warfare, description of the entire war sequence etc. But this book feels like preaching every opportunity it gets or revisionist history of India. Is anyone else reading/read the book and felt the same way?

Hi there! I am Rusy, a content marketing person in the B2B SaaS domain. I'd like to read some books that would enhance and deepen my understanding of content marketing to help me learn about it more deeply. Can someone recommend books in this domain? Apart from this, I'm planning to buy 101 essays that will change the way you think and 4-hour work week. Has anyone read any or both of these books? How have the experience been with these books? I like non fiction books that hail from the spaces of mental health and self help

Started reading Dopamine nation , very interesting take on modern day addiction and the author narrates stories of her patient's addictions. It's eye opening to see how easy it is for us to get addicted to anything and everything.
