This month maybe I will read a technical book on Elixir but I'd still like to read one which others are reading as well. I think I can find the time for both books πŸ™‚

that is nice thing πŸ€” but choice of books must be based on people I guess then, how do you choose?

Just finished reading Atomic Habits today. Different from other books on habit forming (e.g. Power of habit) because this is more actionable advice. Would recommend to anyone who’s looking to get more structure in life.

Was recently reading Principles by Ray Dalio, gave up because I thought I got the idea. Currently trying to take more action instead of reading. πŸ˜†

I think remote work is quite entrepreneurial in nature and this is one of the books I'd like to recommend if you want to imbibe that spirit. Sharing some highlights to whet your appetite πŸ™‚

Halfway through Atomic Habits. Thanks for indirect recommendation guys πŸ˜„... So many interesting concepts and methods in this book. Loved this one - "It doesn’t feel good to fail or to be judged publicly, so we tend to avoid situations where that might happen. And that’s the biggest reason why you slip into motion rather than taking action: you want to delay failure."

I have finished some books and still have a long reading list. I will share my reviews over time but if I have to recommend 1 book to get me started here. One of my favourites is https://www.amazon.in/Thinking-Bets-Making-Smarter-Decisions/dp/0735216355/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=thinking+in+bets&qid=1557229945&s=gateway&sr=8-3 One of the key takeaways is : Life is not like chess where you think doing x will get you y results. Life is more like poker where you only know the cards in your hands and not what your opponent holds. So it doesn't matter if you or your opponent has better cards, what matters is how you play them. Adapting this analogy in life, you can only control what you do and make better decisions by moving away from absolutes and instead adop probabilistic thinking. this also helps set the right expectaions and feel dissapointed less often.
