One example are the choria plugin modules. They are generated and published to the forge. They don't have a git repo

A note of history if I recall… in the 2014 talk “The Refactor Dance”, r10k was just really hitting its stride. Gary had mentioned a phrase something along the order that r10k was “Finch at 3AM with a bunch of RedBull hacking on it until it works.” And another phrase like “it’s a bunch of ruby and bash all tied together that checks out repos and puts them where they’re supposed to go”. Librarian still handles mono repos too. Something that r10k seems to not be so adept at.
