    <bastelfreak> "migrate to ours and be happy?" <- I can be happy in 8 years time probably then. Such a breaking change is probably more person interaction than I fancy - breaking changes with an OS I can just do.

    Sounding like nothing better than hybrid module of both. We do this already for a number of modules unfortunately -
    puppet+justin8-systemd
    for instance. Deprecating the old interface with OS.

    any indication of when
    puppet-nftables
    and
    puppet-systemd
    will be released with the current merges from GitHub? I'm looking forward to removing version locks that are fixed with the next releases. Thank you!

    I think it should support all your use cases, so let me know if you see any blockers. I've obviously got a bunch more work to do. Update the README, write new tests etc.

    For your case of wanting TLS with what looks like the system cert store, you can set this in the 4th parameter with
    {encryption => {method => simple_tls}
    (or set the same via $confdir/ldapquery.yaml

    By basically passing the provided hash of options direct to the ruby ldap.search function, everything possible in net-ldap should be available.

    Forcing myself to make time for the puppet-r10k work. Making real progress. got a working scaffold in place with passing tests. Next - start adding tests to make sure the resources are compiled correctly, then move on the acceptance. Progress can be viewed and commented on here: https://github.com/voxpupuli/puppet-r10k/pull/590
