the rubocop conf can "inherit" from a url instead of a gem so we could pin the config explicitly. E.g. https://docs.rubocop.org/rubocop/configuration.html#inheriting-configuration-from-a-remote-url

that means issues with an associated PR (so 2 entries in the changelog) for bug report + bug fix

smortex: if a user reports a bug caused by their misconfiguration, I add skip-changelog

if we have a PR and and Issue for the same topic, I add skip-changelog to the issue

and try to stick with with one label oer issue/pr, otherwise GCG can get confused

So in the end, are there cases where issues should appear in the changelog?

sometimes a PR fixes different things, then issues help

or when people report a config problem that should be easy to find for other users

Okay, so I understand it as "normally not shown, unless it is helpfull to be visible in the changelog". In my case, I can hide all of them, unless somebody objects?

Shall we maybe pickup some puppet containers from Perforce? I’d say at least puppetserver and pdk containers are quite popular

@Yury Bushmelev there was a discussion at our mainling list from @binford2k about it. I think it would be nice if Puppet supports/provides imagea for their products
