even worse, the website it lists is on <http://rubyforge.org|rubyforge.org> which no longer exists …

anarcat: I'm far from up to date on Debian packaging, but isn't that version 3 generated from <https://sources.debian.org/src/ruby-rbtree/0.4.4-1/debian/control/> so if you'd do a source build, it'd be 2.7+?

indeed, not as easy: building ruby-sorted-set has a dependency on ruby-set but that's not available it seems

and <https://salsa.debian.org/puppet-team/ruby-semantic-puppet> is at version 1.0.3 while <https://packages.debian.org/bookworm/ruby-semantic-puppet> is at 1.0.4

I'll admit that I don't have time myself to take lead on organizing something.

"Leading something" is really something i have no clue about. Same for having people join an event. But if you can manage to trigger something I can try to "coordinate" (I don't think that would represent dozens of people so maybe I can handle that?).  Do you have ideas about what can be done? On the top of my head I think there can be kind of office-hours (but vox already has some and the vox channel is basically this), or if people want to learn how to work with vox modules I can show this (not a talk, more a workshop driven by questions for things like tests, modulesync, etc).

mostly things like plan a date, do some kind of registration if needed, arrange for a venue (puppet slack &amp; zoom?), agenda if needed, promotion, making sure people have support they need (like if someone wants to hack on the r10k webhook, <@U11KK362D> should be there to answer questions)

not hard work, just keeping track of things

FYI - next week is kubecon. A lot of people will be unavailable (myself included).

I'd love to lead something, but I've been overly busy with work stuff, so I am not available either right now

anarcat: so I took a stab at it and created <https://ekohl.nl/debian/> but the first thing I notice is that the *_core modules aren't bundled nor dependend on, though I do see <https://packages.debian.org/bookworm/puppet-module-puppetlabs-cron-core> exists

anarcat: where do you prefer to get feedback? because I found that the vendormoduledir still points to /opt and more importantly: it doesn't appear to be loading custom types - they are synced but then not loaded
