My company wants to introduce job levelling - I think we're going to use the SFIA framework (although if people have better ideas/frameworks then please let me know!) and I have a few specific q's re: how to approach this: 1. How did you communicate this was happening with employees? How far in advance, did you include them in the process at all (some of our employees have different roles to the ones described in their JDs due to advancement) Or was it done behind closed doors? 2. When evaluating, what did you use to make your assessments? Was it coversations with managers, referring back to their JD's, conversations with employees?  some combination of these? Thanks 🤩

I’m looking out for our Marketing Exec following the departure of her line leader and really want to help her out - she has been trying to source a one-stop-shop supplier for on-brand merch and other collateral. Not sure that’s possible but having a few (for designated branding areas i.e., the 3 pts below) would be way better than the 10+ different ones we have now (+ it’s also costing a small fortune and we are at Seed stage so cash is king 💸). Stuff like: 1. Customer marketing collateral - table pieces, stickers, flyers etc. 2. Events and advertising - stands, banners, table tents etc. 3. New starter welcome packs / team merch - jumpers, bottles, t -shirts, masks etc. One of those classic “where does this fall” tasks - but we are all a team 💪🏻 and I would love to help find some solutions! Looking for legal and financial advisors

 

My direct report who is based in the UK is in a psychologically toxic and abusive relationship and taking steps to get to a safe place.

She has a mortgage on the house she lives in her partner with, so the first step is getting legal and financial advice so she knows how to break that bond.

She can only call during work hours (she does have flexibility to do so at work).

For context, free support would be a massive help as most of her assets are blocked there so she has very little disposable money to find another place for now. She can't stay with family, has a limited support network, and has only spoken about it to very few people at this point.

Any help and advice will be passed on and would be massively appreciated and will make a difference. Please spread the word if you can. Thanks 🙏🏻

👋 When thinking about company offsites nowadays - what has been your thinking so far on how many days to have it, and whether to include weekends or not? I used to work in a company where we always had it Friday-Sunday. But now I am more keen on Monday/Tuesday-Friday. And by offsiteI mean time away to get them to spend time in teams and work (has been a request)+bring people together+do some activities+create memories.

Hey everyone - quick question from me. We currently use a fairly basic spreadsheet system to help our sales team track their monthly commissions, and we are now looking to invest in some better tech / software to help do this. Perhaps one that can even integrate with our CRM. It would be good if the team didn't have to manually input things constantly, especially as things could be missed... and it would certainly be a much more time efficient way of doing things. Hello everyone 👋 I’ve been tasked on creating a competitor analysis. Something I’ve never done before and I’m facing 3 challenges: 1. Identifying the info that we need so that we’re not wasting time on digging up useless info. (Some of it could be used to prove our concept in a pitch deck) 2. Finding the right info that is helpful e.g. revenue on the competition or business models. I have some ideas on how to approach it, but any tips and tricks are welcome. 3. Formatting of this info. I already inherited a spreadsheet, but it’s painful to look at and definitely not helpful in sifting through the info. Does anyone have a go to template or tool? Thank you very much 🙇
