If that's not what you want from your app, that's fine. You can change that

I just haven't seen react native be able to do what I'm talking about I could be dead wrong though

In the same way I'd have to say haxe isn't as powerful as c++, most developers will not be able to reach the optimization of facebook's app

The reason why that loading feature is default is to preserve user mobile data, generally if people scroll at a normal speed then they're almost never gonna see the loading

facebook's app is made using react-native

haxe react-native exports javascript which is then compiled in a regular react-native way

I think I would much prefer to use OpenFL over anything react releated, but I would be curious in seeing a haxe example, especially if it more visual than form type interface.

With openfl you don't have to use react boiler plate structures, so I don't agree with the freedom argument you made NotBilly.

I don't think you can beat the UX of native UI components without tremendous effort

Would like to see something unrelated to React that does native with Haxe, perhaps with caroway layout

I expect one will appear as there are some native haxe libraries.

And then yes, that is tremendous effort.

Considering the amount of people and time involved in the RN project

I haven't tried react with haxe though so I'm not sure how similar the experience is

coming from as3 I don't really like XML layout

I think react in haxe is probably a bit nicer
  • a

The closest alternative to react-native in haxe would be haxeui which uses...xml style syntax
  • a

    ambitious-knife-25690

    11/18/2018, 5:36 AM
and it's not even close in featureset

So you write code ui in as3? Or mxml?
