Coconut is a web framework, right?

It's a ui framework, think react, but not web only

There is a poc for haxeui+coconut meaning that you can write react-like declarative code for haxeui which will target many platforms

Creating externs is a little fiddly to learn but fairly intuitive

I've made a fair amount of externs for it so I don't think you'll need to worry about things like material ui

I need to update my firebase externs on github though, I've added firestore since

    React-native is 100% win

Absolutely no question whats so ever

One example: try implementing all the functions of a native text input in openfl and you will know what PITA means. (Highlight, copy paste, auto complete, etc)

Simply put, it is very hard to match UX provided by native components
  • m

    miniature-summer-93860

    11/04/2018, 5:58 AM
Well you can just use native extensions to add a native input text
  • m

that's what my app does I don't think react native wins so hard when it comes to custom ui

I can definitely see the huge incentive if you just want to throw up something quick and use native components

I would argue react-native gives you more creative freedom with custom ui
