Hi, everyone. I'd love to have your suggestions for b2b advertising. I'm looking for advertising channels for a tech b2b vendor. I've tried the classic ones: Google, Bing, and LinkedIn, and plan to try Capterra and G2. Do you have any experience on b2b advertising? Which channels would you suggest? Thanks.

Hi all google ads/ LinkedIn ad folks 👋 I have a B2B client and they need Google ads copy (about 4 ads per month with 3 copies per ad) And LinkedIn copy (4 ads/ month with 3 copies per ad for three types of ads - 1) Hero line, description and CTA 2) Hero line + CTA 3) Carousel ads) And an email campaign for B2B clients (around 6 emails) This is my first time doing this. Any thoughts on how I could price this? My head is all over the place! Appreciate any advice :) thank you!!

Hi! I was approached by Commsor to do some research work for them www.commsor.com/ They offer software, education and community for community professionals. The purpose of the research is brand building and demand generation. We're still in the exploration phase so there's a lot of room for change and the scope is not very clear yet. Here are some points for the what and how of the project : https://lnkd.in/dxdScxw5 Would appreciate any tips especially in terms of scoping, pricing, choosing among the options we have.

Hello Superpath community! We have a new "Dear Superpath" question. This is a way for folks to ask anonymous questions. Career stage: senior (8+ years) "I have a full-time job and I freelance as well. Recently one of my freelancers asked me for a content strategy and I have invested around 40+ hours of time to create a content strategy and content briefs. Now, after seeing my plan he has decided that he wants to hire me full-time as the plan needs a full-time person or more than one freelancer to execute it. He's offering an attractive salary package and a permanent WFH option but he seems like a hire and fire type of person, so I just don't feel like taking the risk and it is a very early stage startup so I'm unsure about their stability as well. But I'm afraid that if I outright deny him he would close the project and leave without paying me. However, I don't feel like two-timing him promising that I'll put down my papers only to leave him hanging for months. That's just not me. What do you suggest I do?"

I'm looking for recommendations for where I can create an online portfolio. I also have a lot of older print work that reflects some content area expertise that is in PDF format so a portfolio needs to accommodate both . Thanks for any suggestions. Hope this is the right place to ask this!

I just got a job offer for a content lead role at a really cool startup. It is about $7,000 USD less than I was making at my last role and that I got multiple offers at 3 months ago. And it offers more than double the value of my previous stock options. It's at an earlier stage than my last startup role so they will be worth more if the company takes off. It will also allow me to do some truly innovative content work with a lot of creative freedom. Someone please tell me its okay to accept this even though it's below what I might make elsewhere -- but doing less interesting work? My brain is having a hard time with the decrease in salary from three months ago. I already negotiated it up from the original offer and the offer is not a bad one -- it's at the high end of content salaries. I just got really good offers in my last search.

If anyone has experience in B2B developer marketing AND also knows B2B enterprise marketing, I have a good lead on a great role at a very small but well-backed startup. The founder is a really lovely person and the product is a SaaS service that actually fills a common market pain point. The company is based in Australia but they're mostly ex-Googlers so they are also willing to consider people who live on PST/PDT.

Also, not sure where to put this but I just finished up my job search and will accept an offer. I have a list of like 40 B2B tech content marketing roles currently open that I was going to sort through to decide which to apply to. If anyone is job searching and wants that list -- let me know. They're all LISTED as US-Based remote roles. But I generally check their website and their people's pages to see if they hire people outside the US (I'm based in Canada).

Hi Everyone! I'm working on building a new arm of my video production business. This new side will focus on collaborating with content marketers who are producing thought leadership content themselves, specifically any audio/video content (interviews, podcasts, webinars, etc.). The idea is to alleviate the workload and burden of video production from people that aren't video editors, so more time can be spent generating the content. I'm currently looking to connect and conduct market research with people producing this content and ask them questions regarding the process, frequency of content, and current production tools used. Would anyone be willing to chat for 15 minutes and let me ask some questions? Thanks!

Hey y'all. What comes to your mind when you hear "field marketing"? Reason I'm asking... I'm at a crossroads right now with my role. I'm a Marketing Manager. On the one hand I'm managing an Inbound team doing content and social media (10 people in total), on the other I'm hosting a series of live streams for my company, building out a network of contacts that way, and I'm having some success booking meetings for Sales (we're a B2B software development services company). So this "networking" part of my role has somehow grown bigger and bigger and although I thought my natural next step was Head of Marketing—bigger team, full responsibility for the inbound pipeline, budgeting, higher-level strategy, etc.—my leader has signaled to me that perhaps I'd like to try my hand at something he calls field marketing. From what I can gather that's more about going "out there" to build business more directly. My streams fall under that, as would other online events like webinars (and I could build a team around that), but it would also involve potentially doing some on-site events in our target markets... What I know for sure is that I love the live streams part of my work, and I like that I'm having more of a direct impact, but I worry that by turning down Head of Marketing and being more "on the front lines" I'll be taking a step sideways but not forwards. And I have a feeling this will mean I won't be involved with inbound so much anymore; maybe even lose access to part of my current team to build out something new. So I'm looking for any thoughts you might be able to share here. Especially around field marketing, which I don't have a lot of experience with—even though it seems like I might have started to do it by accident. (and I realize not all of it is strictly related to content but I hope it's relevant enough)

Hi #work-career-advice I am a very experienced writer who has done all forms of B2B in the healthcare business space: old school journalism, PR, B2B demand gen emails, landing pages, web copy, messaging platforms, and social. What I have NOT done is positioned myself as a "Director of Content." What skills/capabilities do you think I need to master in order to win a career move in that direction? Happy to talk offline if you are kind enough to lend your thoughts...all the best.

Last week I read the 2022 Salary Report on the Superpath blog and it was so affirming for me. Question…what do content marketers who make the average $93,000+ actually do? What do your job descriptions look like? I ask because I believe I do “all the things,” (or have for various clients) but still promote myself as a freelance writer and wonder if I changed my positioning if I could charge higher rates.

This may be a long shot. I'm flying to San Francisco for an interview next week in FiDi. I'll be there 9/1 and 9/2. Is there anyone local I could buy a coffee for and chat with about entry/early career level content marketing job opportunities or recruiters in SF? Trying to make the most of the trip before coming home to SD.😅

I’m not a journalist or academic. But I have been writing like a fiend since losing my job at Reuters 6 years ago. I only just started to submit work for publication. Grateful that the deputy features editor took a chance. Call it beginner’s luck but I sent this 4 weeks ago. Will it help with credibility and lead to other things? I hope so. https://www.latimes.com/lifestyle/story/2022-08-26/la-affairs-ex-plays-matchmaker-what-could-go-wrong-los-angeles-nancy-glowinski
