I would describe the maintenance of kv-asset-handler as somewhat in limbo right now, I would definitely be down to review at the least but I can't promise any sweeping changes because everyone who has served as maintainer/reviewer for that project in the last few months is pretty swamped on....... some things..... lol

Submitted https://github.com/cloudflare/kv-asset-handler/pull/159 πŸ™‚ I can use my fork for our use-case for the time-being, but it's there if/when anyone wants to take a look.

I was wondering whether anyone would be able to help me with this issue? https://gist.github.com/LeCodeCo/351b9d53b3a0cea089e811cc8c2cfcd2

The summary of it is, when I use fetch from the Cloudflare Workers quick editor, I can correctly make a request to https://backend:8080/path but when actually visiting the worker, fetch completely ignores the port and requests https://backend:443/path.

It seems a really weird behaviour to me, as I can write (or could, technically as it's not there anymore) write a Worker to proxy to a custom port. I fear the issue may be with the actual port. Have you actually tried another port other than 8080?

I'll try that in a bit.

I say that since port 8080 it's automatically redirected to 8443 on Cloudflare if there is the Always Use HTTPS rule and that port is defined as alternative for HTTP (as 80 and 8008).

i like mechanical keyboards but my desk is a horrible mess of wires so i need to get something wireless, mechanical not necessarily required

I got one of the Logitech MX Keys recently. Love the keyboard, Bluetooth/USB-A dongle, multi-device, USB-C with long battery life and it's even backlit. If you are used to Apple's it's slightly off with the keyboard placements, but I guess you aren't. Not mechanical, though.

PS: I'm now so happy to report that all of my devices use either USB-C or Lightning only (plus the Watch). So, so glad to not have to bring anything else.

I'm running Ubuntu for dev but https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MQ052LL/A/magic-keyboard-with-numeric-keypad-us-english-silver is phenomenal (battery has lasted on first charge for over a month now)

I considered it, but I wanted Space Grey and it was more expensive + didn't have the backlight. The layout I like slightly more though...

Ah that's fair; for me, my room is usually lit decently enough or I"m using the light from my laptop cranked to max in an otherwise pitch black room like Gollum

Nope, the screen brightness is down usually ahah during the day it's fine at night when I would use that keyboard most it wouldn't be.

yeah lit keys would def be an improvement although battery life would tank

To be honest not really. I have had the keyboard for 50 days, with the backlight on and I barely went through slightly more than a charge. It does disable itself when not is use, but moving the hands above it comes back on immediately.
