To clarify on the Toss issue, normally, once you break a location, you ignore the rest of the text on the card. However, Toss says you can toss the enemy even if they die from the attack

Guys remind me - playing an injury card, does it battleflow cards on the location it’s played into?

What does your heart tell you?

That it’s not explicitly said not to in the rulebook’s section on injury card and as it’s ‘playing a card’, it would cause a battleflow. This is how I am playing it but it feels it gives you some help.

I don't have my game in front of me right now, but do the injury cards show a battleflow icon, or do not battleflow icon on them?

Does a round of combat in the story mode trigger the determination rule? I've been playing it as no since that rule is only mentioned in the encounter book but was wondering if there was an official ruling.

Nope, it does not. The Determination Rule only comes into play when you miss an attack. Unfortunately, a round of combat isn't an attack that is being made which is why you only see the rule on the combat side

Interesting; the book definitely says "make an attack" on the round of combat section, which is why our group ruled it should trigger Determination

That's true, it does use this wording to help reduce confusion. You can also see that it clearly doesn't function like a normal attack. Normal attacks, when you fail, don't incur a 1 damage penalty to the Oathsworn. This is meant to simulate a quick scuffle in the story rather than the slower paced more granular battle that happens during the combat phase of the game. I'm sure this type of confusion could be removed entirely if SBG added a single line of text in the Round of Combat paragraphs that stated Determination Rules do not apply during Round of Combat or Might Checks.

We play it this way. I actually think the rules probably don’t allow it, but we felt that thematically it makes sense.

When summoning minions, if I run out of standees, what happens….?

Assumed farthest away removed and used for summon.

You can only summon what is available. If all are summoned, then nothing happens.

You can send a runner when you're in a city, at any time regardless of the banksmith or apothecary being present on the map.

Hello! Couple of questions came up tonight - If a large character is being knocked back and hits a board edge and an obstacle at the same time does the obstacle get destroyed and cause the HP loss? (We went with yes due to all other collisions happening simultaneously) The timing for break-reactions - does the Oathsworn card that caused a break finish resolving and causing battleflow before the reaction starts or is the reaction more of an interrupt? (Guessing for bookkeeping and such it finishes resolving but wanted to check) Thanks!

I’d think you’re correct on both counts! For #2, remember that the card no longer affects the monster in any way after breaking a die.

But which of the dice of the hexes I go through do I attack? First, last, can I choose? NW rule?
