When a stage card is drawn and uses its normal targeting, I believe all of the standard targeting conditions require the victim to be in line of sight. The very last condition is, if the monster cannot find anyone in range and line of sight, the monster moves towards the closest Oathsworn ignoring line of sight. So, hide behind a tree if you’re squishy!

Hiding doesn’t help if you break a health die, IIRC. Don’t have the rulebook on me.

As ChaosFarseer mentioned, it just removes you as a valid target since you aren't in LoS. However, if there are no Oathsworn in LoS then it will go towards the closest Oathsworn...which could be you hiding behind some terrain so just be careful with that when planning who is going to tank the hits.

Quick question to make sure I'm playing this right. So for the enemy Encounter Deck, the top card is flipped up and put on top. When you break the location, do you draw that flipped up card, resolve it and then flip another? Or do you put the flipped up card aside and then draw the next card?

draw the flipped up card unless there's a stage change

Guys, confirm how does large enemies interact with fire? Where they finish movement, all fire below them is removed and the corresponding hp dice removes 1.hp If there is no hp die in that location, closest one looses 1, player’s choice if multiple as close. Right?

I thought as they moved into fire they would take a damage corresponding to the closest location the fire hits & then the tile is removed

Yes but what if there are multiple fires? Thinking big monster and witch’s fire wall which puts out 5 fires in a row!

    12/08/2022, 6:47 PM
yeah it would take 1 damage per tile

Nice. So slow moving highly armored enemies, can bait them to stop on 3 fires, for example.

You do not resolve the tile effect one by one as the monster step on it?

I wouldn’t, just where he finished movement. I thought monsters ‘jumped’ from starting to final position; they don’t push allies on the way, and wouldn’t be affected by fire hexes in the middle - only on end-of-movement 7 hexes.

E21 says large monsters move through characters & obstacles but that's it

Does the Penitent’s Special Ability also give Empowered x 3 tokens for hp lost during story phase?

No, they don‘t jump. Large Monsters also move one hex at a time. Charakters met during movement just don‘t get pushed, because they are thought to „step out of the way“. So every fire tiles and especially water tiles (slows down movement) get resolved one after another.
