There are some really cheap and crappy all-in-one airbrush kits that use canned air. Definitely not what you want though.

i'm waiting patiently for these xpress color paint to come out. I've only used Army painter speedpaints and some Citadel Contrast paints for contrast paints thus far. I'm curious to how these Vallejo ones will be priced.

He mentions pricing in the video - looks to be around 50% less than the other options on the market. I took a brief look around and didn't find them for sale anywhere yet.

if %50 off Citadels... then right in line with Army Painters. Either way, cheaper = better 🙂 I expect that even when they release, us Canadians will get our usual back of the line spot with regards to availability.

After my citadel paints are empty I will give the a try

i've yet to watch the video, any mentions of the dreaded reactivation that AP speeds have?

U have to be careful, they are good for wetblending due to the reaction

But also reactivate when ur glazing over them or highlighting

i like valejo colours, got speedpaints too, also very good. got also now some paints for skintones of ak-interactiv

supposedly the Vallejo paints dont reactivate and can be thinned with water

i was thinking of using AP Speedpaint Gravelord Grey to paint the broodmother, but i was afraid that i might reactivate things putting a red color when going over the sores

Catching up on this thread - So for airbrushing, I open a window right next to be and have a mini fan venting straight out. It takes the small particulates and just throws them right out. When cleaning, I put cleaner into the airbrush and spray it into paper towel so there is nothing going into the air. I wear a mask but just a face covering. I don't even think I need to do all of these things tbh. But just in case. Also, I know there are mini stations you can buy that vent that you can setup right in back of where you airbrush. For cleaning, it doesn't take me more than a few minutes. For deep cleaning, like 30. Deep cleaning would be once a month if you use it consistently. My compressor is small. My entire system takes up less than one foot by one foot. So space shouldn't be a giant issue.

I also use nontoxic vallajo thinner and nontoxic cleaner.

And how much space all the Airbrush specific paint pots take? And where do you keep this one foot to one foot thing when not painting, all adds up.. I already get complains from the wife about my regular paints taking too much space. 😄

They are non toxic, but think its not best to have any of those particules in your system... hence my P100 mask at all times

I have a work desk in the basement. The paints I used are regular paints. I don’t use airbrush specific paints. So it’s just all if my reg AK, vallejo and citadel paints. 5 drops of Vallejo airbrush thinner to one drop of any if these paints.

The paint station doesn't vent back into your face like pictured. It's a flex tube

I asked this in the chapter 5 spoilers thread but maybe enough people don’t read that. Did anyone paint chapter 5 with predominately contrast paints and willing to pm me the colours they chose? I’m stumped on how to proceed. Thanks.

I basecoated everything in blue purple and worked up from that so your eyes do not deceive you

Damn, that painting competition is really hard. Didn't even make it into the top 5 yet.

First I tried to find a corner to cry 😢. Was no room left, than I grabbed my ugly mispainted priest and painted him again, kinda, but more fixed it hopefully, probably for worse 😅
