The King of Average (KoA) has released a video as well on painting Oathsworn, however he's painted the a boss mini that's been shared (not the rat). So I won't link it here, but you can find him on YouTube by searching for 'King of Average'. His style is more of a traditional - block colours, shade, highlight.

Call me dumb, but never realized that the artwork was for a boss; so i would say it is a spoiler...

I would think we need to keep the paint jobs in here to only the 12 core characters, the 4 allies, the broodmother and the terrain.

So what is everyone going to paint first?

im personally going to paint decision paralysis first, and then 6 months later i will paint the warden

Ima grab a standee copy at Essen Spiel in October, so I'll be painting the heroes first...and last😜

Hoping the white spray is actually good. Current citadel spray is not great

looks good in the before/after pics but will wait for a review. I prefer my airbrush for most priming these days but gotta admit I still get lazy and use rattlecans if I have a bunch of models I want to prime...

Going to paint our Oathsworn Team which will at least consist of The Blade, The Ranger and The Exile (one friend havent chosen yet), the 4 Mercenaries, the Broodmother and her adds, and any needed terrain for the first mission 🙂

Yeah that’s my plan too, do you have the armoury as well? If so will you do all the arms?

I will do the starting setup where i then write down the paints used for those arms. And then the other arms will either be when i have nothing other oathsworn to focus on because of waiting for the next gaming session. Or weapons i know will be used for the next session

We will end each session just before the next fight. (Though doing the first 2 story sections and first fight in the first session) so each time i would know the loadout being used before the fight, thereby being able to paint needed weapons as we go

@BigDeno69 finally had a chance to check out the most recent videos (including the early release of the Warbear, thanks!) – really, really helpful. The Warbear was always going to make my starting 4 but now I feel a lot more confident I can make it look good! (Also the wet-on-wet contrast color mixing on the ranger blew my mind. I see now that have not been using contrast colors to their fullest ability...)

I will start with the heroes and allies, and then - if my patience allows it - plan to first to story part of each mission, open and paint the monster, and then do the battle. But it really depends on whether I can keep my patience in check or if I end up playing the first time with unpainted monster minis 😉

I've got 9 or 10 more tutorials to come - Gold, Metals, Faces and Hair, Cloth, OSL, Basing, Feathers, The Armoury and finally, Big Models and Terrain
