3rd ever "mini" painted. I started with the terrain, then the rat and 2nd boss. First two minis were Ursus and the Witch. I'm very happy with how detailed these minis are and how they make easy to learn and simple painting techniques really give it life.

Photo skills still need work, because it looks better in person.

well done, easy part by this models is there size, its a bit easier then smal minis

Yeah, pretty sure that's what's happening....but also it's really hard to see that in person....in fact, you really can't see it.

You get grainy texture of your spray primers in my experience if: You use corax white (thank the Maker it is discontinued, trash the remaining cans asap) Very high humidity (vapor particles get stuck on the paint before landing on the mini) Low temperature (paint poopies freeze before landing on the mini) You let the mini rot on your shelf and gather dust (the dust gets coated instead of the mini)

I gotta disagree on the Corax white part. I loved that stuff, I was really disappointed when they discontinued it. White scar is fine as a replacement for a primer to normal paint, and a little better as a primer for contrast paints, but it’s a total failure for shade washing

I had to switch to a completely different brand of primer for games that I’m only priming and shade washing

Have you seen what happens if you apply shade to an unprimed mini, where the shade looks like it’s running away? That’s what it does over white scar. Which is a damn shame, because shade washing is a quick and awesome way to improve a game that you don’t want to fully paint
