Hi @User I was reading about Theia and I wonder if with its modular architecture that breaks the entire app down into individual npm packages, would it be potentially possible to build Theia with only the modules that Dendron needs as markdown-based note-taking tool to work, leaving out the parts that are specific for programming and not needed for notetaking. (Sorry for my bad English).

it should be possible. you should actually be able to use Theia with Dendron now since all of our extensions are published in the open-vsx registry

in the meanwhile, i'm looking into building dendron into a standalone editor, either from a fork of vscodium or using theia

That's good. I don't know anything about programming, I'm just curious. I read also about vscodium and theia seems to be more complete or extensive, I don't know how to say it. I like both for being really open source

Thats an interesting approach - I like it! It should give dendron a good performance boost

its on our roadmap: https://github.com/orgs/dendronhq/projects/1 that being said, it's pretty far in the backlog right now. currently focusing on having a solid foundation for basic dendron functionality first

Thank you so much. Is there a block referencing in Dendron?

not yet - dendron has backlinks to individual pages. vscode does natively support peeking which gets a bit closer to block references: https://www.dendron.so/notes/692fa114-f798-467f-a0b9-3cccc327aa6f.html

Just downloaded Dendrod. Although I was observing Foam in the last month, to me Dendrod seems more user friendly. The instructions help me easily to download and set up my environment. This is nice from the team, basic information is key for ordinary users like me who don’t know what VC is.

@User there is a typo in dendron.faq.md: "server side IFFT" should be "server side IFTTT".
