@User @User @User welcome to dendron 🙂 here's a brief lay of the land. #734966064957620294 is where you can tell us a little about you and what brough you to dendron. this is the general #717965437182410786 for anything on or off topic. for specific things like #736965464261132310 or #735365126227493004, you can checkout the specific channels.

I’m a fan of classification systems - as well as hypertext thinking - and I really like the mix of hierarchical organisation and hypertext note taking that Dendron offers.

you're in the right place in that case 🙂 I think hierarchy vs links are usually presented as a "one-or-the-other" choice when it doesn't have to be. bothy systems have strengths and weaknesses and you can get the best of both (structure and flexibility) by combining both

(at least that's the core belief that dendron is founded on 😅 )

How does dendron different from other note-taking (with bidirectional linking) apps? (like foam)

tldr: dendron combines bidirectional links with flexible hierarchies to give you the freedom of arbitrary associations with the organization of nested hiearchies

    flexible hierarchies
Interesting. Thanks for your explanation, how does dendron apply this?

    > dendron looks similar to foam, but I will love to try it out @User I'm offering a 30min personal onboarding for everyone in the preview. This is to help you setup Dendron so it's customized to your knowledge management goals 🙂 If you're interested, you can book any open slot here: https://calendly.com/thence/meet
