I have heard from my man on the inside that the Imprivata support is 85%.
Which honestly limits a bunch of my customers

are there certain workflows that don't work with imprivata? or just in general it's not quite there?

I think it is certain features that are not there. Like Reliability.

When I saw it demo'ed the tap would work this time, and then 30 seconds later it wouldn't. It is better than that now, but I think it is along those lines of functionality. It's not 99.999% up time.

We don't use impravata so maybe it'll go well. We need scep, teams optimization, CU edge dx/remote dx and cwal and good multi monitor support and we should be good

Pretty sure they have all that. The only thing I know of that may not be considered Enterprise Ready would be Imprivata. And AuthX for that matter.

Keen to hear how it goes, especially the Imprivata part, we have a couple of POCs lined up very soon.

Tried it but there was issues with getting a logon banner to show up for the user and a couple other “small” things that are blockers. Ended up going with dell wyse as our stratodesk replacement. The thin clients were already dell, so it kind of just worked out better anyway.

So stupid question: Can somebody eli5 in a super short summary, what the infrastructure and setup process looks like? I assume it's a database, an application/management server and an x86 OS that work together? All tied to the new UHMC license so we could test it right now?

Ok. It is currently running in a deployment of over 250K clients and the Imprivata is functional. That said, there are still one or two kinks they are working out. If you run across any problems deploying it and Imprivata let me know and I can get a Unicon engineer working with you. They are obviously motivated to be sure PoCs go well.
I am being told the kinks are some specialized one off situations, it is production ready.

We're doing projects and it is going pretty good. I'll see if we can get one of the team to write a blog.

we aren't finding any deal breakers at the moment, but we are finding lots of "things". Inheritance probably being the most annoying. If you are coming from Igel/Dell, it will feel like going backwards. Having said that, they are improving with each version.

@Steve Noel are you guys able to use an igel profile to migrate a machine from igel -> elux? that's our biggest hurdle right now, going from OS 12 to elux

we haven't messed with any of the conversions/migration solutions yet, right now just installing UniconOS to VMs.

Honestly, I haven't tried. Maybe I should look into it.
