Woohoo! Lab MOSTLY is working. I got all the way through a desktop launch of a 2016 server 🙂. Unfortunately that desktop is completely black so.... not sure what's up but all the ports and protocols are working, NS is working, VDA is registered. It's a glorious day! 🙂

Or will be when I can figure out why it's just a black screen.

Ping still doesn't work. Baffles me but guessing it's a setting I need to enable somewhere in vyos

I 2 armed my VPX so I didn't have to deal with Vyos and port forwarded it from dyndns. So I've got a publicly facing NS config.

google says: set firewall all-ping 'enable'

Makes sense -- IMC ping is typically turned off for a lot of things by default as a matter of security these days.

Well actually that enabled outbound ping from my 10 segmented to 192 which wasn't there before. But oddly still within the 10 network no.

Neat Patch came in. Cool concept but not so much when you have a door on your rack. It won't close without moving the front rails back at least 3" which is going to make the rear cable management really tight. I think I'm just going to have to pony up the cash and do the cat6 feedthrough patch panel. Freaking thing costs more than a switch.

@User problem is that I'm buying in US and bringing to Brasil, so cannot risk stuff stop working, like my 2 year old Dell XPS 13.....still haven't contacted support, but guess its an hassle or dead end

Seems like most products are junk these days. I have had issue with my HP Spectre x360 as well. A year and a half.

I definitely wouldn't buy a synology at the moment
