@User Then it is likely something with pfsense

It's certainly possible I'm missing it somewhere 🙂 I tried to grep on MTU as well but found nothing.

    Check logs for drops there?

Yes, I’ve been breathing it lately. Did you add any services like pfblocker? I’d also narrow down the browser to DNS or routing. I would guess you missed something like a gateway (I’ve done it!) and it’s likely not the pfsense. Hit me direct if you want more help, I run pfsense at home and if I can’t figure it out, I have about 15 experts who can (from Red Hat).

This only happened when I misconfigured blocking with pfblock, are you using pfsense without addons?

As far as I am aware, I am using vanilla pfsense with nothing configured but any/any and the WAN and LAN ports 🙂

Searching for a cheap >=8ports 10GbE switch for my lab. Currently have 2 supermicro servers with vMotion in crossover and working fine, but would need a switch for the 3rd one.

I'm not a big fan of SFP+ due to cost. Those DAC cables aren't cheap...
