@User So I had a problem with the stand I bought, M6 screws vs. M8 screws and had to wait on the vendor to send me the correct hardware. After that I got 2 x 55" TVs mounted on the stand and the Hades Canyon is powering them both just fine. I ordered the remaining 2 TV stands on Monday and they should be delivered by middle of next week. Once I get those assembled, then order the other 4 TVs and get them mounted. Slow process with work and travel interrupting things but its coming along.

Thanks Jason. I just pulled a PoE cable to my 2nd floor yesterday for better WiFi coverage. Stupid cable gates, had to go through 3 bedrooms before ending up upstairs. End of story, only one cable goes in. SO the question I have for you, any downsides of using in-wall to e.g. get WiFi in on of the bedrooms, then using the the 2nd port to get LAN up-stairs to the office & then add another PoE there? What I've read is that there's limitation with VLANS, trunk etc

Basically, would you recommend adding a switch to the 2nd port of the AP's?

They make a small poe switch you could do...

Hmmm, I am utilizing the wired port on the in-wall in one room but I have not tried daisy chaining another in-wall or a switch to that. My buddy sent me an interesting text message and screenshot from his Controller this weekend however. He added a UniFi AC Pro to his garage and was able to do wireless backhaul to other AC Pros in the house and he says it’s work great. He could not find any documentation on this but it works for him and I have the screenshot.

sounds like repeater mode, called wireless uplink by Unifi according to this thread https://community.ubnt.com/t5/UniFi-Wireless/UNIFI-AP-AC-PRO-as-a-Repeater/td-p/1525909

I have a basic Netgear repeater that works great (not PoE). Very useful for extending the range and providing an additional SID.

@Jason Samuel did repeater mode cause any performance issues/take half the bandwidth?

@Jarian Gibson So when he texted me he said Controller just found it and added it just like any other regular AP and he did not have to specify repeater mode so I'm unsure if there's a hit like other APs when doing wireless backhaul. I will check in and see if he can click on the AP itself and see what it's looking like. The screenshot is just the network map and it's got dotted lines to the AP instead of the usual solid.

He just said Unifi always supported wireless uplinks, and Unifi Mesh supports downlinks. After this new firmware update AC line supports both.

Question for you all. We have quite a few power issues where I live - normally not a problem but this week my Prism Cluster won’t start up. Not a huge issue as I will rebuild it and restore the machines from the HYCU backup. But it is a bit of a pain in the arse, so, looking for a cheap (ish) UPS that I can get for here. Needs to be able to power 1 x USG, 1 x Unifi 8 Port PoE switch, 1 x E200, 2 x Intel NUC’s and a Synology NAS. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - don’t normally deal with this kind of thing day to day so its all a bit alien to me.

You’ll need the capacity of those devices, determine potential/desired uptime and budget.

You could even get down to a price per capacity and determine the best choice based on that. Tweakers.net (Dutch) for example will give you that value to set the biggest bang for your pound
